Quite grey here too Di, but humid.

It will have. J's girls, she has four, are all pretty much grown up (the youngest is Joe's age) and it was the youngest two who were there. She'd told them to leave early to avoid the rush getting out as she and their Dad were waiting and they'd got quite a drive home and they'd ignored her, but she's so very glad they did now. Poor J, she went through years of worry with her husband, he was an Army Captain until quite recently and I well remember all of the tears shed whenever he was posted abroad. She was craving a quiet, less stressful life once he'd left the army.

I think of the times I've been to concerts with J, and it's always been so much fun but I suppose now there'll always be a niggling thought that something could happen. And I've know these girls since they were little, and it makes me so angry to think that someone decided to try and kill them.

Afternoon everyone

Bright, sunny and hot hre, still a bit blowy.

Had the moitor taken off this morning and have been in Ourique waiting for the yoga class to finish.

Molly not well, not eating, won-t let either of us near her rear end, which looks a little swollen, but will keep an eye on her.

Hoping the hear if we can have a hire car for 3 days, or at least borrow a car, as ours will be off the road until sometime next week!

Keep well everyone x

Blimey Ton, I'd hope the insurance included a replacement car  If not, note for next renewal ;)

Well it was a lazy day then we got accidentally busy :D
Tall bookcase used to stand at top of stairs, had to empty it for decorating and really wanted a smaller one there.
Smaller one in l/room doesn't match anything else.

So emptied that, took it upstairs, yep just right.
Picked replacement (argos, same but different colour).
Then decided another one of those, plus a tall, half-width one, would be good replacements for current dvd holder and CD case thingy...so ordered all three :D

Bb's collecting them on his way home tomorrow :)
Meanwhile, we have a sofa full of books, an empty bookcase, and a newly discovered nasty patch of black mould, which has now been treated...
You know how one little job can lead to another

Afternoon all, got home from Cork yesterday evening, was very tired. We had a good time and it was lovely to see my two little grandnephews too, they have got so big.

I fell on the dancefloor on Sunday, flat on my back and bounced my head on the floor. Thankfully didn't pass out and after a little rest, danced on for the rest of the afternoon, but I woke up feeling stiff and sore today, with a headache from sore neck muscles. I went to Pilates as usual though, the teacher is also a physiotherapist so she told me what exercises to avoid, and I do feel a bit better after stretching out the muscles. I'm finally getting the house back in order after our holiday and weekend away. We are supposed to go dancing tonight, but I think I will stay at home and try to get to bed early.

The events in Manchester last night were so very shocking, and I immediately thought of Paula and Amy, they were so excited heading off and then to see her FB postings last night, I just wanted to reach out and hold them. I was so relieved when she said that Amy's dad was coming to bring them home. That is the same arena where Miss Osc, myself and Michael went to the Strictly tour two years ago. I refuse to believe that there is any god that tells his followers to go out and kill children and young people   the people who do this are drawn in by a subverted and evil interpretation of doctrine.

Jo I am so glad your friend's daughters were unharmed! This is just such a horrific thing, an eight year old amongst the dead. Osc I agree with every word you said, glad you weren't badly hurt when you fell xxx

Lissie that is good news!
