Morning :)
And what a beautiful one it is too! Blue sky, sunshine and hot :D

Ally can't wait to hear :)
Suff continued good luck x

I've been a busy little bee this morning.
The car's gone for its service, have been sorting winter/summer clothes, washed some winter t-shirts etc that will be packed away, sorted stuff for the charity shop and to be thrown away...now sitting with a well earned cup of yummy cortado :)
Bb is collecting our new bookshelves on his way home, not altogether sure where we'll put the boxes but no doubt we'll manage :)

Hope you're all enjoying this gorgeous weather

Good afternoon all! It's a sunny and humid one here.

It's been a busy day so far. I got up early to walk Billy, we walked for about 3 miles before getting back at 7.30am to see Joe off to college. I then went into town to do some shopping, got home around 9.30 and then walked Billy again. He doesn't like the heat so I thought it best to get his two walks in early. I've washed a load of towels and a load of bedding since getting back so that won't take long to dry today. Tom's moving back tonight. John's going over to get him and the rest of his belongings, I'm watching football with Joe. It's worked out well on two counts. One less person frees up a bit of space in the car for his boxes plus I don't have to keep walking up and down two flights of stairs to empty his flat! ;)

Glad you enjoyed your holiday Aggers!

Good luck Suff!

Have a good day all!

Blisteringly hot down here in North Dorset. Visited the up-market garden centre for breakfast and got the car valeted inside and out by the local (Polish?) team while we ate - superb job done for £15. 8-)

Mrs O reminded me of how when we got married I used to buy her roses to express affection. Unfortunately, I had just loaded a cactus ("just for you, my love") into the shopping trolley  . Back it went onto the stand. Spent next 5 minutes pulling thorns out of fingers ....

Then went to down-market garden centre for summer pansies to replace winter pansies, now finished. Mrs O saw a greater-spotted woodpecker carrying out industrial chiseling on a tree in the narrow-tracked driveway to the nursery. I didn't, as at the time, I was desperately trying to avoid being forced off the road by an impatient elderly motorist coming the other way ...

On return home, Mrs O judiciously decided we needed another two trays of pansies on top of the two we bought, so back I went! :)

Too hot to do anything else this afternoon ....

You make me laugh too Ossie

After my busy morning I went shopping for a new table lamp to go on our new bookcase.
Popped online to Tesco direct and click and collected on the first one I saw, only £8 and just what I wanted :D
Took about two minutes, that's the sort of shopping I like :)

Evening all, one of those days that got away from me. Supermarket shop this morning, then my sister called in for a while. Went to the hairdresser this afternoon and when I came back, was sorting out winter/summer clothes and washing winter stuff to be put away. Had a chat on the phone with my friend who lives in Spain, she is here for a few days on her way back from a trip to India, and we arranged to meet for lunch on Friday. It has been a lovely warm day, although some offshore mist here.

Still rather wa m here - so why did I have to use the oven, steamer and kettle

Herbert and Jose Felipe almost finished baling up the lupins and grass that was cut a few days ago - he thought it would take a couple of weeks to dry, but been so hot, so here they are.

We're supposed to be watching the footie and eating dinner, but feels wrong, when they're still working and not had a beer.

But a lovely day.

Got the car sorted for tomorrow, borrowing Auntie Gez's car and off to have another check up  then taking Antonia out for dinner - that lady has been a godsend this week.

Molly still not 100% but looking and talking better - she chats for Portugal when she gets going.

Enjoy your evening everyone, xx
