There was a woman called Nora who owned a clothes shop near to where we lived when I was growing up. The shop was called, imaginatively, "Nora's". Just down the street was a menswear shop owned by her husband, that was "Brian's". Betcha can't guess what he was called?! :P

John had a Great Aunt Norah who lived in Glasgow and his aunty who we always stayed with in the US was also Norah, an amazing woman with such a great sense of humour. Loved her to bits. I do miss her, she died a couple of years ago.

The school nit nurse was always called Nitty Nora :lol: :lol:
