Good morning all, it's a hot one here. I took Billy out early,
Joe decided it was too warm to sleep, he won't have his window open because of bugs
, so he's been in the downstairs living room watching movies through the night. He's watched Toy Story 1&2 and Titanic. Must've been 'comfort-watching' as they were his favourites when he was very young, even Titanic (although I always had to ffwd it to the part where it hits the iceberg). I can't stand that film, it was okay the first time I saw it but when it was on daily....
Just need him to put on Chitty Chitty Bang Bang now and his childhood viewing will be completely revisited
We'll pop around to see my Mom later. She was discharged yesterday morning. I was on a train and had a phone call from my Dad at 9.30 asking how 'we' were going to get her home. Obviously I had no way of getting her and John was in meetings all day. I suggested speaking to the ward as this must be something they deal with regularly and would have contacts for a taxi company with a suitable vehicle (and they're less than 2 miles from the hospital). I would've thought that for ease of her getting in and out, something like a people carrier which is a bit higher than a normal car and with a sliding door would've been best and plenty of taxi companies around here seem to use them. I called him back when I got off the train and he said that Roger, my sister's boyfriend, was going to pick her up. It was a shame though as they're almost an hour away.
Good luck to Don with his op!
Have a good day all
