Good Morning Tuesday

Postby JanB » 20 Jun 2017, 06:01

Morning everyone

Slightly cooler today, although it doesn't feel like it at the moment

Popping into Ourique later, to make an appointment with our rubbish doc for Grumpy. We waited 2 hours after the appointment, to get the results, rather than wait a week.

Then we'll do the shopping, rather than going in again tomorrow - we have a lot on tomorrow, so best to get it out of the way.

May pop down the bar later, it's a little early, even for me to think about what we'll be doing later

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Much cooler here today too Jan. Thank God! Yesterday was too much; stifling and no hint of a breeze. This is much more comfortable; fresher.

Not much on today as ever. Taking some flowers to my daughters, booking the car in for a service and MOT. Have a good day wherever you are!

Good morning ,
Another restless night as it was hot. We have a window open but it did not make much difference.
The sun is out again and it is getting hotter.
Just pottering today, trying to keep cool.
Had a phone call from Grand daughter on Sunday. She is going to Glastonbury. Forecast thunderstorms tomorrow so lots of mud again.
Going dancing tonight.
Have a good day everybody

Morning all!

Jan, I hope Grumpy is ok (((x)))

Cromwell the forecast here today is for even hotter, over 30° again, but there is a breeze and it feels fresher :) Slept better last night!

Cruiser I think it is compulsory to have mud at Glastonbury

Zumba first thing, whilst it's still cool enough to bear it ;)   Then a walk up to see D and a nice cool shower and change of clothes before we have lunch together

Have a good day, and stay cool everyone :) xx

Good Morning all,
Still very muggy here but there is a slight breeze blowing up.
Best wishes for Grumpy`s results.
Don`s eye is improving daily and he can`t wait to have the other one
done. He can watch TV without glasses and he has`nt been able to do
that for years.
He has to have 7 lots of drops in daily at the moment so he gave me that
job
Have a good day and try to keep as cool as possible.

Morning all - firstly apologies for not being in touch the past few days; life's been rather busy (in a good way).

Good luck with the appointment making Jan, and makes sense to try get as much done in town as you can vs having to go in two days in a row. Say hi to the people at the bar when you go :D
Cromwell and Cruiser - enjoy your respective days. Cruiser - rather you granddaughter than me; I can think of nothing worse than camping out in a lot of mud
Kaz, take it easy with the Zumba and make sure you have lots of water with you.
Lissie, glad Don's eye is doing so well. How soon can he have the other one done?
Saundra, take it easy today and try have an afternoon snooze if you can.

Well it's meant to be hot again today but it's overcast at the moment and there is more of a breeze than has been so it's actually really nice.

Usual / usual for me today

have a lovely day all x

Thanks for asking Ria :D
He has a letter to take to the optician in 4 weeks time and have an eye test.
Then the optician will contact the hospital for an appointment for the other eye.
The Doctor at the hospital is willing to do it but you have to go through the correct
channels
He will wait until the second eye is done before getting new glasses as if he gets
them now he will have to get another new pair when second eye is done so that
will work out really expensive as he likes good frames etc.

Morning all :D

Another scorcher here.

Good luck with Grumpy's results Jan xx

Glad Don's pleased with his progress Lissie, having mine done made such a difference.

Hope you feel better soon Saundra xx

We haven't been out for two days now so will attempt a steady stroll along the seafront down to the harbour later. We'll probably stop somewhere for lunch while we're there.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good morning all, cooler here today as the wind seems to have moved around to the east, still nice though. Himself has just gone to play golf, and I really must make an effort to do some h/work today  Might be meeting up with Miss Osc and children later for a belated Father's Day tea and cake for Mr Osc. Otherwise, just a normal humdrum day. Lissie, so glad Don is doing well, I remember my mother had her eyes done in a very short space of time and she was 80 at the time, had no trouble at all with them. Saundra, take care of yourself, difficult at this anniversary time xx

Had a great time at the Nashville concert last night, but why oh why do people buy expensive concert tickets and then sit there chatting throughout the performance   Eventually I turned around and said firmly would they PLEASE stop talking. Coincidentally Mr Osc did the same thing at the same time, they looked very taken aback and there wasn't another sound out of them!
