It's certainly been fresher for the last 36 hours down here, but no rain; we could certainly do with some as the outside water butt is nearing empty ....
To the town centre car-park this morning - Mrs O headed for the local "factory shop" where they were advertising a range of discontinued Boots products, mainly in Christmas wrapping!
Ossie however headed for the Asda opposite to stock up on various cans of "meat products" which Waitrose simply don't sell, or charge double the price for. The bird was also instructed to buy a pair of face flannels and purchased black ones, all the other colours being too garish to contemplate .....
There's much to be said for plain old-fashioned white but you try locating them this day and age. Then staggered back to the car with the booty; I refuse to park in Asda's own car-park as it's operated by Parking Eye, and there have been far too many horror stories about motorists being landed with fines, many after they've used the car park legitimately twice in the same day and been treated as if it was one continuous stay.
In fact Asda have erected a prominent notice along the lines of "Don't blame us, take it up with the parking company if you've got a complaint" - which hardly engenders confidence in the system ....
