Morning Ally, morning all :)
Cloudy and drizzly here, supposed to be much better from tomorrow :D

Yesterday ended up quite productive. I took out another life assurance policy ('no questions asked'), only £10 a month and I get a £30 M&S voucher too :)
Also re-negotiated sky, God that was wearing, I think I did ok but after an hour on the phone you don't care so much so they probably win! I'm paying less anyway :)

Today is nicely empty, still have the other pot to plant but not in the rain...

Hope a good day is had by all

Morning all :)

Tickets, Ally? Are you going somewhere? ;) :D

Glad you got a reduction anyway Di, I think they keep us on the phone that long to wear us down! :cute: :geek: ;) M&S vouchers are always a bonus :D

Going out early to get my hair cut, then tonight there's another Pilates :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

Blowing a hooley still   keeping us quite cold ;)

Off to sort the weeds out as soon as I've finished my coffee, then some weeding on the bank - I didn't know what sort of weed they were, pretty, not so good or plain nasty - so left them. They're now taking over and growing at an enormous rate, so they have to go

Doctor for Grumpy this afternoon and then a pit-stop at the bar tonight.

Have a great day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Good morning all, it's drizzly and grey here too Di.

No plans for today (although Billy seems to have other ideas as he's just this second dropped his solid rubber ball on my foot!) apart from complaining to the hospital about an appointment that Tom has. It was made for July 12th so he cancelled his availability for work. A letter came yesterday afternoon, at around 2.30pm, and he opened it when he came home from work at 8pm.
The appointment had been rescheduled for June 28th at 11.15am. Yep, 3 hours before the letter advising him of this arrived. It'd been actioned on the 23rd and was marked Second Class on the 26th. They have a phone number for him so, at short notice, why didn't they call? You might remember we went through a farce with Joe's appointments being cancelled last year, one without us being notified until we arrived at the hospital and the letter for that arrived a day or two later! And Joe and the hospital is a whole 'nother story which I'll put in another thread I think.

Feeling a bit better today, my throat is less sore and my head isn't quite so fuzzy but I still feel wiped out. I'll keep up with the First Defence though.

Di, ringing Sky can be quite an endurance test can't it. I always remember calling once, years ago, to cancel movies and the woman decided to reel off the whole list of those which would be shown in the coming months and she made a really big thing of the fact that Bridget Jones' Diary would be premiering. I'd already got it on DVD but that didn't deter her from saying, excitedly, several times "but Bridget Jones is on soon!"

Have a good day all!

Morning all :D

Dull and a bit of rain here. Hope it clears soon as we'll be off out to do the weekly shop later.

Glad you're feeling a bit better today Jo.

We need to renegotiate with Sky too Di. Was the reduction enough to make up for the hassle?

It's the monthly quiz tonight. Think we're two people down on our team, could be interesting.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Yes I guess it was Jen.
I got £10 off the tv package, and £5 off the phone, but not sure what else they did as I'm going to be paying £20 a month less, even allowing for paying £4 more for phone calls :?
Switched the phone deal; we were getting calls after 7 and at weekends free, for £4 a month. I've changed it to all calls free for £8 a month, which made sense as we were paying over £10 each month for calls.
Bb has to make weekly phone calls and can't really call late so they're all before 7.

You have to make a cup of tea, draw a deep breath, and set aside plenty of time :)

greetings all - a rather lazy day here at work. Bossman is out so I caught up with a few personal things and then had lunch with a colleague which was nice and now back for a bit more of non work stuff

Di, I switched from Sky to BT just under a year back and when the contract year is up I'll probably switch again. I've had another look and will probably downgrade to broadband and line rental only and stick with the freeview packages; most of what I watch is on there anyway so no point paying extra if I don't need it.

well, usual usual for me - was out last night so will be nice to be home tonight and just chill. The weekend is another busy one so need to make the most of evenings at home.

have a rest of day everyone x
