Postby saundra » 30 Jun 2017, 08:32

Just a thought
Does anyone still take real photos and put them in albums these days
I'm going to make an effort to get some photos printed and into albums
They are all on my kindle and pc
And some on discs but it's just not the same as real photos
So look out bonus print here I come

I haven't had any printed for a year or two, apart from the occasional one for framing but I really get back into the habit. We have a whole unit full of albums.

i used to put them all onto my laptop, and then transfer them to a CD so that I could
then display them on the TV. But this had many problems, such as the TV refusing to
accept the CDs or the laptop packing up, so I have now abandoned this method.

We have now bought a Canon 'Selfy'' photo printer, which produces wonderful prints,
which we mount in photo albums. There is do doubt in my mind that this is the best
way of viewing your photographs. The printer can also makes changes to the photos.,
such as cropping, etc.

I don't know how to answer that, but let's just say I'm not too good at modern technology.

Does that work out expensive Aggers? I've always had around 200 printed up at a time, usually in Asda, and it's never cost me very much at all.

When Tom was born my favourite uncle and aunty came to meet him when he was a few days old and my uncle gave me the BEST advice that you could give to a new parent: take lots of photos. It's no exaggeration to say that there are thousands of photos of our two in albums. Probably why I don't get many printed now is because they're grown up so we don't have many days out or parties or whatever so I don't get to take so many.

I forget now how much it cost.

It wasn't cheap. We bought it at John Lewis, but we are so pleased with the results we are getting.
The quality of the prints is wonderful. They are made to last for a lifetime.
