We had a really lovely night last night at my brother's house....he'd made individual game pies from scratch with puff pastry on ours (not for them, as they eat paleo.....don't ask) and an Eton mess for afters. We laughed a lot.....great fun!

So today Tom has taken Amy to Towcester as there is a greyhound derby final there. He's always fancied it but this year it's more an extra birthday pressie for her as well as something to make her feel better after the crash. They're staying in a BnB overnight and he'll be home tomorrow. I've been to Hartlepool this morning (a rare Saturday off, whilst I have these two weeks holiday) had a mooch round and did an Asda shop, then home. I'm popping to see my sister later as she is now back from holiday and we'll have a natter and catch up.

Enjoy your garden time Ria - I have some fence/shed painting to do but forgot that the brush was at the caravan so I'll need a new one before I can start! D'oh!!

Happy Birthday Aunty Rose! Hope you're all having a wonderful time Kaz!

I had my hair cut this morning. It's been six months since I last had it cut and the hairdressers couldn't believer how much it had grown, it does grow pretty quickly though. I had 2" cut off but can't really tell, it's tidied the ends up though. I then met John in Wetherspoons for breakfast.

John, Joe, Tom and Shannon have gone down South Wales to stay the night with John's Mom. She's been nagging him for a while about him not visiting, plus there's a piece of decking that's working loose so she needs him to screw it down (don't forget that John's brother in law and the three grown up nephews live nearby...). This is Shannon's first time meeting her and John's already apologised to her, jokingly, about his mother
