Good Morning Thursday

Postby JanB » 06 Jul 2017, 07:31

Morning everyone

A lovely, fresh morning and although thunderstorms are forecast, the locals don't think we'll get them  I love standing outside when it's chucking it down, and warm

A bit of something and nothing today, although I should have got up earlier and done some gardening - there is always tomorrow ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you'0re doing xx

Morning Jan, morning everyone

Jan, I'm the same as you and loving being outside when it's raining, but as you say - needs to be warm and us humans be sheltered :D But the smell of the air before, during and after a rain storm is just so unique and they not the same. And not sure about where you are, but back in SA once the rain finished it was quiet for a few minutes and then the birds and insects would all start up again - just amazing.

Well, after two lovely days out of the office it's back to the usual / usual for me.

Have a lovely day all, enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning Jan and Ria.

It's supposed to be hot here today but it isn't. I hit myself in the eye with a tennis ball yesterday so one of my eyes looks like a ferret's. Not much on, shopping and doing a bit n the garden is all today.

Morning all :D

Not quite as bright today, but still nice and warm.

What a lovely lazy day we had yesterday, sat out in the garden until around 7ish. Weekly shop today, really low on stocks as we were away last weekend so didn't get a lot in.

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good Morning all,
Very warm but a bit stormy feel to it today. It has just rained for 5 mins!
Not very happy as Don was taking photos out of the conservatory windows and
all of a sudden a b***** great rat was sitting in the birds seed trough. :o :o
I will stop feeding the birds for a while and hope he gets the message.
Just going to Morrisons and Waitrose for bits and pieces today.
Have a good day :D

You know those ball throwers you can buy for dogs Kaz? It was one of those. My daughter has bought one for the film star dog. I'd never used one so I thought I'd try it. I thought "I can't use it in the back garden, the ball will go over the fence, so I'll throw it down, into the patio". A great plan, apart from the ball bouncing straight back up and clouting me in the eye!

Lissie - buy an air rifle!

Morning :)
Hot and sunny 8-)

I've been out, to the next town. I wanted to try on some Skechers sandals I'd seen online.
Got there and they were in their sale, same price as online - but only in size 4 or 7
She said she could order them for me but they came up as out of stock, so came home and ordered from amazon.
I did try to support local business

Not only that, the previously free car park opposite had brand new signs and machines, and our local parking clocks are not valid so I had to pay!

I did buy a lampshade though :D

Happy birthday to Lilly :)
Ugh Lissie, hate hate rats - I only have hanging birdfeeders.
Jen you deserve some lazy days x

Hope you're all having a good day

I have made appointment with a pest control firm to come next Tuesday and see where they are coming from.
He said to take down all bird feeders and any supply of water as that is what encourages them.
Sorry birdies and foxes--you will have to go elsewhere :(
