Did they have a good time Saundra?
I felt so sorry for my lovely friend from Orkney on Tuesday. It'd been 7 year since Green Day had last played in Scotland so she, her husband and daughter flew to see them on Tuesday. Tickets, hotel and flights cost close to £800 for the three of them and the concert was cancelled half an hour before the gates opened. The reason given was that the weather was too bad but it seems that the company putting the stage up were dragging their feet and it wasn't going to be ready in time.

John's bike ride will be a subdued one today.
There was a nasty accident in Birmingham on Friday, it involved a mini bus transporting children on a school trip and a bin lorry and one girl died at the scene.
John found out yesterday that she was the 14 year old daughter of one of his Sunday bike ride friends. Apparently the house was besieged by the press yesterday :( Feel so sad for the family, she had a twin sister too :(
