We've had sad news...

...one of our oldest and dearest friends passed away this morning.

I had an urgent message on fb to contact a friend in Birmingham and she told me that he'd had a heart attack and died. Don had nipped out to the shops and I had the heartbreaking task of telling him the news when he got home.

John was 58 and found love late in life..he got married 3 years ago and his little son Rauri was 2 last week.

Don's known John since he was 7! (they went to the same school) and in the 30 years I've known Don John became one of my closest male chums.

All plans to go to the festival were cancelled - we've spent all day taking calls, messages, etc. We've just realised we haven't eaten all day.

We are both in total shock.
