Just messaged again, she had another disturbed night - noisy ward :( - but is having a scan today, for the clot, and just wants to get home. I passed on all the messages xxx

So it is definitely a clot. That fits with the coughing Gal has been reporting. A lot will depend its size re treatment.

There are now non-invasive procedures to break up the clot, or the use of drugs. I was on a 24hr drip for a few days to break the clot up, then the stent, then another drip to make blood less sticky.

I was *walking wounded* and I hope the same goes for Gal. The drip came with me like a pet puppy wherever I went and the staff on the ward were quite enthusiastic about people being up and about rather than them sitting or lying around.

Big hugs (((((Gal))))) xx

It sounds that way doesn't it Di, I hope she manages to get some rest if that's indeed the case. Hospitals are so noisy - and warm - so sleep doesn't come easy does it :(

Thanks Kaz, she's been on my mind all morning xx

Some fantastic news! It is not a blood clot, it is a nodule on her thyroid (giving heart symptoms) and the pain in the back probably muscular!

What a relief!! :Hi: :Hi:
