What Are We Reading In July?

All She Wants by Jonathon Harvey.

It's okay, but it's probably the third or fourth of his that I've read and so far it's my least favourite.

I'm now reading The Turning Point by Freya North.

I'm reading My James by Ralph Bulger.

One of the saddest and most heartrending books I have ever read.

I'm reading, on my Kindle, a book that was written over a hundred years ago, called ' Red Eve', by Sir Rider Haggard.

It was the last book he ever wrote, and is nothing like his African adventures, 'King Solomon's Mines', ' She', etc.,
but is absolutely brilliant, and I'm finding it difficult to put it down. It is set in East Anglia in the Middle Ages.

It might not appeal to women readers, but I think men would enjoy it.

I must admit that that remark was purely based on the type of books Mrs A reads, many of which
are passed on to her by other women in our Lodge, which leads me to think that they are typical
of the sort of books women prefer. But of course, Ally, there must be exceptions.

I am reading a Jodi Piccoult Small Great Things. It is a white supremacy story and makes me so angry I cant decide if I like it or not

I finished The Turning Point last night. Really loved it, although it didn't end the way I wanted it to

I've now started Paper Hearts And Summer Kisses by Carole Matthews. She's one of my favourites.
