Good afternoon all, it's a lovely day here.

Billy took me for a long, long walk this morning. He led and I just followed, and when he decided it was time to come home he just started taking paths leading in that direction until we came to the gate onto the estate where he waited for me to put his lead on him

The washing's on the line, Tom's at work and Joe's reading his Highway Code. Can't remember when I last saw him with his head in a book

Great news about E, Jen! :D

Lovely news Lissie. I wish we would have a new baby in the family, I have some lovely crocheted blanket patterns that I'm itching to work on for a baby

I love to see babies in hand knits :D

I only taught myself to crochet earlier this year, I can knit okay but I find crochet is so much easier and works up a lot more quickly and there are some lovely patterns, I love doing 3-D raised flowers. I've been making blanket squares for a charity so at least I have a reason to crochet.

Good afternoon all.

It's a lovely day here, and we went a walk into town this morning - more for the walk than for goods.

With all that walking and a lovely dinner, I feel more like having an afternoon nap now. so why not !

Hope you are all enjoying yourselves. Make the most of this sunny spell - it looks like it won't be so

good tomorrow.

Taking advantage of a glorious day weather-wise, to Milton Abbas this morning, a beautiful, picturesque main street of identical 3 or 4 bedroom thatched cottages in a deep valley.
(Anything between £400k and £600k if you're buying .... :) ).

Our main target was the nearby Milton Abbey (now a private school) which was a Benedictine monastery up until the Reformation; subsequently the grounds were bought off the Crown by a wealthy Cornish family, and latterly in the 18th century the whole estate was landscaped by Capability Brown. There was an excellent exhibition on the history of the place in the Abbey itself; the school refectory had been turned into tea rooms for the duration (we had a morning cuppa and a breakfast bloomer each) and after touring the place, we finished up back in the village at the Hambro Arms for a light lunch.

Excellent day out, and if you're in the Dorset area any time in August, the Abbey and village are well worth a visit, but not next Saturday when they are holding the bi-annual Street Fair, because there'll probably be upwards of 3,000 tourists if the weather holds ....
