Good morning. :D

Hot. 8-)

Just back from a super quick run and enjoying a coffee before getting ready for work. :D

Finish at 1pm and meeting Don to get a few bits of shopping in - Jacob's flying over tomorrow night so the fridge needs to be full!

Have a great day everyone.

Another rather windy, wet and just miserable day in London :( Oh well; I'm in the office all day so may as well be like that :)

Morning Ally, great news about J, and yes fill that fridge!

Morning Ria :) Morning Aggers :)

Morning all :)

*Sigh*Another windy, wet "autumnal" day out there :? No idea where summer has gone! A busy one for me, I need to go to the PO in town to post some art of Mick's to Brazil! Hope it gets past Customs, their Customs will open and steal anything given half a chance :? That's a quote from the lady who lives there, not me being racist ;)

Also need to pick up a few bits for B's birthday tomorrow, she'll be 22   Then I need to drop a jar of apple preserve up to D, as she's making B's birthday cake - a vanilla sponge with apple preserve and cream filling!

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning everyone

A bit blowy here, but that's good, as it's keeping the temperature down.

Done the watering, grumpy feeling tired this morning, so we'll just have a quiet day. Weird, as he was fine yesterday, but that's how it goes.

Enjoy your day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Afternoon :)
Well, it's not raining but hardly pleasant out there, the wind is ferocious!
Yesterday it beat down the hibiscus and blew our biggest pot over  The hibiscus needs hauling up and staking, and the huge cosmos in the pot need canes, but I can't do it alone and Bb's in Portsmouth all day.

On a better note, we're going out tonight :)
D is back down as she's selling the Barton house and they're doing the photos today.
So I've exchanged some Tesco vouchers for Prezzo ones, such a bargain, and I shall treat us :)

Ally and Jan they're warning people travelling to Spain, Portugal and Italy about the heatwave.

Hope you're all having a good day

Well, it's only going up to 42C - we've had that and more, several times already this summer. Lasting into next week too

I don't like it very hot - early 20s is good for me, anything more and I'm uneasy. I feel for you all in mainland Europe :(

Kaz - 22!!! I am shocked, I always think of B as about 15, I'm sure she won't be pleased to know that!  Hope she has a brilliant day tomorrow xx

Well, we were meant to go to see Dunkirk last night, prebooked cinema tickets, but late on yesterday I had a nasty IBS attack at work (!!) so I daren't leave the house :( Poor Tom had been looking forward to seeing it - and I lost a tenner as they don't transfer tickets. Ah well...

Felt better this morning, so Aquafit at 8.45 (still scary early!) but the good thing is we are out and coffee-ing by 9.45 Then grocery shopping and then home. I've just had lunch, might pop out soon to have another mooch, anything to prevent me having to do housework!!

It's a mix of sunshine (now) and showers, here, there was a really heavy one while we were having coffee, we stayed put till it passed.

Ooo I must tell you about this - I got a lovely surprise yesterday - Anne (my Wednesday optom) has VERY kindly brought me a signed cookery book from Howard, who was in one of the series of Bake Off. She'd been to Castle Howard (no relation ;) ) on Saturday where he was demonstrating his work, and he has signed it to Lynne and Jennifer! Wasn't that lovely of her - I feel very humbled. She said it was a treat after my recent problems....aww she's a lovely lady 8-) :)

Hope everyone has a nice Thursday, stay dry if you can xxx
