Good afternoon all, it's showery and very windy here.

I took Billy out earlier, at 8am. It wasn't supposed to start raining here until 11ish according o TWO apps and the TV weather forecast...you've guessed it, it was raining by 8.10. Same last night with John's bike ride. It was forecast to be dry and quite sunny when it actually hammered it down.

B's 22 tomorrow??

Ally, how do they manage to eat so much?? I'm constantly amazed at how quickly food disappears in this house. And please don't get me started on the amount of shower gel, shampoo and toilet rolls I've had to buy since both lads were home this Summer.
I have my fancy shampoo and conditioner hidden away. I learnt my lesson last year when Tom used up my favourite ever shampoo and conditioner that I kept in the shower, I then found out that it had been discontinued

I'm disgusted the gypsy s that are parked illegally in the high school fields up the road are coming to our cemetery by me and filling the water carrier's and more vans have arrived on site and next to the cemetery are allotments and there have been burglars about

That's horrible Saundra.

No matter if our weather is forecast for say....40 degrees. As the day goes on it absolutely is much hotter than that! We live in a 'dip' surrounded by mountains that trap the heat ergo making it hotter.

But....having lived here for 14 years we have totally got used to these temps every summer. I had on skinny jeans today at work and walked home in oven furnace heat that didn't bother me....but I did strip off, jump in the shower and am now encased in shorts and a vest.

Deffo nipping out tonight for a few cold beers.

We had them on our recreation ground last week Saundra, they were there Thursday through to Monday evening. The mess they left behind was something else. Guildford council had to come in to do a first major clean and then declare the area "bio-hazard safe" and then a number of people from the village all turned up armed with brooms, dust pans and rubber gloves and helped clean up the rest. The entire play area I think was anti-bac'd It's definitely one of the perks of living in a smallish village, people do care and muck in when they can.

The Parish Council is having an extra-ordinary council meeting on Monday and has invited anyone from the village to attend so we can all brainstorm together how to prevent this from happening again.

Hello all. Sorry I've not been about much but it's been a sad week here chez Crom. We had to have our lovely old cat Whiskers put to sleep by the vet. He was my little mate for nearly 16 years so I (all of us) have been really upset. His health had gone off a cliff in the last month; it was the right decision but it was not an easy decision.

Anyway hopefully I'll be about a bit more now.

Ho Cromwell how sad pets break your heart don't they have some v v hugs ria they have been there over a week the council just don't do much
They are riding quad bikes up and down the field cutting tree's down lighting bomb fires and it's a very upmarket area as well people are not happy glad your lot are gone

Evening all, I am shattered, we have had the children today and they are staying the night too as it is Miss Osc's 15th wedding anniversary (how did that happen ) so they are gone out for a meal. Kellie is potty training too. It was non-stop all day We played games this morning, then after lunch we all went down to the harbour, Michael cycled and we went to the playground, followed by a visit to Starbucks. Then Michael had a golf lesson, I brought him and waited, grabbing a 10 minute snooze in the car Eventually they went to bed, she went to sleep straight away, but when he went to bed about an hour later, he was back up to us saying he couldn't sleep. However, hopefully he will fall asleep now, because once he is asleep, we are going to bed ourselves! There will be the usual 7am start I am sure, and we will be bringing them to their childminder for 10am. Then we won't see them for probably two weeks, as they are going to Wicklow on Sunday for their holidays, although we may pop down to see them, we'll see.
