Tonight we're going to an outdoor festival in the park. Lots of different bands, food stalls and beers from around the world.

Cromwell the blackberries are early here too, and abundant! I picked some for D the other day, growing near the footpath up to Sainsbury's

Well we were forecast better weather today, and the day started sunny, but the sky is now full of dark clouds Humph! I suppose we'll just have to soldier on, in the rain

Good Morning all,
Lovely morning after a night of rain.
Just had a surprise. Don had his Cataract done a couple of months
ago and they have just phoned to give him a date for the other one.
Sunday 20th August. We must be so lucky with our choice of Cataract
clinic as the waiting list is so long everywhere else.
He is so pleased as the first one was so successful and he is hoping for
the same again. The Optician examined him last week and was amazed
to find he had 100% vision in the treated eye.

Morning all, mixed weather here, cooler but no rain. Bits and pieces to do today and then going dancing tonight. I've been having a nice time looking at a cruise on the Queen Mary 2 next June, two of our friends have said they will come with us and another two are thinking about it. It's always nice to be thinking about holidays

Lissie, that is great news about Don, cataract operations are so successful, ny mother had both eyes done in her early 80s.

Bb's off working in Portsmouth for a long day, so the W/rose trip was mine. What a nightmare our town is on a Saturday! Queue to get in, queue to get out, queue round W/rose car park...still it's done.
Now sitting with a yummy coffee and watching the athletics

Now it's suddenly absolutely hammering down!
Glad I got back before that happened.
Hope no-one gets drowned

After rather a late night, maybe that should be an early morning, we had to get the watering done before we went down to see Pieter and Joao, just got back and will not sit inside, watching the rain on the athletes
