We decided tonight, Antonia, Grumpy and me, that we'd do it again.

Just need Mario to go off and kill boar and hare :? :?

My sister makes and amazing wild boar ragu; it's very yummy. Have had rabbit once and it was fine and same with hare - probably not something I'd order if out for dinner but if I was invited somewhere and that is what is being served I'd be OK to eat it

Jan, do you have lots of wild boar where you are, or are they 'farmed' wild animals?

They rampage through gardens, fields Ria

They are the only wild animal that it's okay to shoot all year round.

Yes, I had forgotten it, but we had rabbit regularly when I was a child, and we really enjoyed it'
But that was eighty years ago, and I've never had any since.

Loads of wild boar in the mountains here Ria...when we climbed el Torcal two years ago we were told exactly what to do if we encountered one. Not yelp and leg it like I would've done. Apparently these big beasts don't like being shouted at! So if we do meet one we're just to yell and holler at it. :o

I have become an expert on my climbs on spotting where boars have been feeding and *ahem* their waste products.
