Postby Ally » 07 Aug 2017, 05:39

Good morning.

Stuck record...hot. 8-) 8-)

I've been for a quick run and after coffee will shower and get ready for work 9.30 - 1pm.

Meeting Don & Jacob in the plaza for lunch. :D :D

The plan is to stay in tonight...that was last night's plan too. It didn't quite work out like that.

Have a great day everyone.

Morning Ally, Kaz and everyone

We're not hot - yet    the heat sneaks up on you during the day

Not sure what we're doing today, apart from popping down to Antonia's later, for her to print something off for us and for her to show Grumpy another deep, really deep breathing exercise, which should get rid of any gunk on his lungs.

Will probably pop into the bar on the way is home.

What's left of the flan will be had for dinner later ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing.

Hope the scales are good for you later Kaz x

Morning you lot

Ally, now stop hogging that sunshine and send some of it over here please! You've got more than enough to share
Kaz, it's rather grim here as well - hasn't started raining but looks about to. Although, dare I say this week I don't mind rain - the more the better. Then I don't feel so bad about my neighbours cats being stuck indoors whilst she's away and I'm cat sitting for her.
Jan, enjoy the day and good luck with those breathing exercises - hopefully they'll be of huge help to Grumpy. Say hi to Antonia and everyone at the bar

Well usual / usual for me. The upgrade works at Waterloo started over the weekend. So instead of having 5x semi fast trains in the morning I now only have 2x slow services. Usually it's about 40 mins on the train, now it's just a bit over an hour. I should be on the 7.10 train but what with cat sitting etc it's a busy enough morning so this week I'm only on the 7.40. As of next week though I'll do my best to get out the house by 6.50 which is rather early, but hey ho....

Well have a lovely day all and enjoy whatever it is you're up to x

Morning all :D

Bright and sunny here at the moment.

Just heard about the works at Waterloo station on the radio Ria, sounds like it will cause all sorts of chaos.

Expecting the boys anytime now and we're still having brekkie, need to get a move on  Not sure what we'll be doing over the next few days, depends on the weather and how far I can walk. Last Thursday I could hardly move at all, taken it easy all weekend and feeling okay today, but very conscious I need to be careful as the hip just goes without warning. Really fed up with it

Hope you all have a good day :D

Good afternoon all.

It's dry and sunny here, and I'm planning on spending some time in the garden this afternoon.
It could do with a bit of tidying-up, now the wind has dropped.

My computer tells me it's a Bank Holiday today, but I don't believe it.

Whatever you're doing, enjoy it. :)

Ria I feel for you, I know the work has to be done but what a nightmare!

Been out for coffee with the ladies wot yoga.
One of them's grandson has been with us the last 3 weeks, he's 12 and a really nice kid.
Today was the last time we'll see him so yesterday he made blueberry muffins and brought us one each :)
I was very impressed, they were very even - haven't eaten mine yet, will have it this afternoon.

Hope you're all having a good day

Saundra, I think that one of the "problems" is that the permanent sites already in place are full and local people don't want them to expand or have new ones built. Guildford Borough Council is looking to put two permanent pitches just down the road from where I live, right behind the houses on one of the most expensive roads in Send. God forbid that happens because it's going to be a recipe for disaster and uproar and i think most of the village will turn out to stop any diggers / trucks etc get to the site. We don't want them in our village

Di, this morning actually really was very OK. Yes the train journey is much longer but the train was really empty compared to what it usually is like, despite two additional stops at Wimbledon and Clapham Junction. If it stays like that then I'm quite happy. I do suspect though that many people took heed of the warnings given out the past few months and quite a few have either taken their annual leave now or are working from home as much as they can
