You know those candles you mentioned.... well I went out and got some for Nadine and I so thank you very very much for mentioning them. I got nr's 1 and 3. Nr 2 is too sweet for me.

I was given Jo Malone stuff from my boss (well from his wife really) last year for Christmas and what I was given is not something I'd really use so I managed to exchange it. I got myself one of their large delux candles and a small one for Nadine and a few other bits and bobs. The large candle isn't all that much bigger than the one from Aldi, yet the price difference - a whopping £116.01.... yup triple figures    :o :o :o

As a matter of interest - are the candles in Aldi a regular or seasonal thing?

Glad you got some Ria, you're right the price difference is truly ridiculous. I don't know if they will become a standard item, will try to find out.

They've been available in the past Ria but that time they sold out everywhere in hours!

Its only a couple of months ago, they'll maybe be on sale in spells like that for a while.

My fav is no 1 :)

It's the brand name that you're paying for Osc. In a similar vein; I also don't get why some people will pay £100's for a pair of jeans or something when they can get same for a fraction of that price from Next or Debenhams or even Tesco / Sainsbury etc... it's all about brand vs common sense

I'be just been a bought a couple one for me one for a gift. I'm with you Ria. My friend has a £135 Michael Kors handbag and what gets me is the name is plastered all over it. Why is it the more you pay the more they want you tell the World?

What I can't understand is why someone would spend money on a pair if 'distressed' trousers with
holes and frays at the knees. To me it's just madness. Can anyone explain?

I went in the Jo Malone shop in Grand Central when I was looking for something nice for my sister for her birthday....a votive sized candle was around £25 iirc.
Suffice to say, I walked straight back out again.
