that new vacuum you bought, can I ask how loud it is? Reason I ask is that I'm looking for one that I could leave plugged in and use for a quick whizz around the house first thing in the mornings if need be.... but in certain areas of the flat the soundproofing between me and upstairs isn't the best and I'm not sure they'd appreciate being woken at 6.30 by a vacuum noise :D

I currently have a regular cylinder mower but it's too bulky to leave connected all the time

Hi Ria - it's louder than my GTECH (cordless) so probably still a bit noisy for your needs :?

The flat bit (that does floors) is great on hard floors but harder to push on carpets. I had a look and it doesn't have a brush, just three or four little strips of a velvet like material. But the crevice tool (the main reason I got it) is amazing! :D :D

Thanks! My flat is hardwood / laminate all the way through - I've only got one rug in the lounge. I do have a cordless Vileda Sweeper but the brush keeps popping out and is annoying me so I though something like you bought would be perfect. But not if it's loud(ish)... :?

I'll just carry on sweeping
