Such a stupid thing

Postby JanB » 27 Aug 2017, 17:50

Tried to complete the on-line form to arrange for my tax rebate.

All going swimmingly, until I get to the post-code.

Won't accept it

So I sent them a message - this was last night.

Got a reply this afternoon.

You cannot apply on-line, as you live abroad :cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

Well, yes, I know that, you know that, otherwise how could you send me the letter, telling me to apply on-line :? :? :?

So I now have to wait 2 month    :o for them to send me a cheque, which I will send to my bank -. in England

And no, I can't use some-one else's address, in England, because they know where I live   And no, they can't send it straight to the bank, it has to come to me   I asked

Couldn't make it up..........................

Par for the course, I'm afraid, Jan. You'll get your money - but it's all at their timescale.
