Good idea Ally - a good stomp clears the head.

Ria, we're lucky in that we don't have fireworks or treat and treating here - too far from everyone

The flu jab is no problem, he just sees the nurse, but the one off anti pneumonia is different. No idea why

Ria, last night was the first night that we'd really noticed them so we turned up the TV, shut the blinds and all inner doors and gave him lots of fuss. I won't bother answering the door for Halloween either, we usually get a lot of trick or treaters and it's not that Billy gets upset by it but he wants to be friends with everyone who comes to the door (for instance, he loves the postman and the postie always says that he wishes all the dogs on his round were that friendly  ) so it gets to be a bit of a never ending job - and I cant shut him in anywhere while answering the door because he'll just let himself out of whatever room he's in

Morning all, lovely morning here and I am just about to hang out the washing. Still not feeling great and (to Mr Osc's delight) I have virtually no voice, reduced to whispering. Today I really must tackle some ironing and I have a few other bits and pieces on my list.

Got most things sorted - saw the doc, got the prescriptions, Grumpy got his flu jab but have to go to the chemist to get the anti pneumonia one and they didn't have it

Paid Manuel, got the bits I wanted, bought some lovely wine and Joao Luis still not in

Steve arrived with the new toy, so that's me sorted for this afternoon

Here, if you want to participate in the 'festivities' of Halloween, you decorate the exterior of your house - mine isn't decorated so I won't get any callers. Dreading the fireworks though, only a few last night but we have some Adaptil for Tip, I don't know if it'll freak Charlie out as we haven't had him long enough to know yet.....hopefully he'll be ok.

Cold this morning! I've seen on t'web that we're in for a very cold winter this year (again - yawn) but this is the first winter Jen has been driving so naturally I'll be a bag of nerves hoping she's ok going up and down the A1 for work :( Parenting is soooooo hard sometimes, all you seem to do is worry :?

Non stop at work this morning! Not so much people, just a LOT of paperwork and phone interruptions....y'know I'm fine if I can just get on and complete one job at a time, but woe betide if I get interrupted a lot

T's back at the GPs tonight as he was coughing loads again this morning - seems the ABs he was on a couple of weeks ago haven't got rid of the infection, either that or he's got another one :|

So jealous that you have a Range close by Kaz - we have to travel a good way to get to one! D's house is mostly The Range anyway :D ;)

Have a good Monday all xxx

Afternoon! MrsC and I have been over to our son's house to do a bit of tidying before the carpets are fitted on Thursday. Plus the 999th visit to the tip. A bit tired now, I reckon nothing to this getting old business!
Hope you're all having a good day.

Gal, that's how it should be. If you don't decorate then they shouldn't knock but here they still do!
Funnily enough, you saying that about D's house, John said that walking through The Range was like walking into his sister's house  It was the kitchen stuff I liked, I suddenly got the need for a load of new Pyrex, and the craft materials.

I took Billy for his walk so that we'd avoid tonight's onslaught of fireworks and just as we were in the woods behind the dodgy estate some were let off on the estate. This was at 3.45pm while the sun was still shining brightly. Idiots. He ran straight back and rammed his head between my knees for a cuddle.

Poor billy. Our first cat, Kipper, used to hide in the wardrobe on Nov 5th. Years ago our local football club played a match in a rough area of East Leeds, and they were letting off really powerful fireworks when the match was on.
People can be so inconsiderate.
