I know that park :D :D :D

And not being a native Bristolian, it took me a while to get used to the language. They put an L on the end of words, so a Cortina will be cortinal

Blimey Saundra, that's confusing things even more

It is Kaz, I love how varied our language is. The words and phrases used from area to area fascinate me.

Yes!! The L on the end

Her mother was in a row of lovely terrace houses right opposite, we used to go quite often. Had some really lovely times down there :D

Morning all

Sending tons of vibes for Aunty Jen, fingers crossed the operation works for her. And hope D is feeling better

Too many replies to answer everyone individually so will just say good morning and hope you all have a lovely day with all the bits and bobs you're doing or not doing
A usual / usual for me. Was out last night so always happy to have an evening in - although need to sort out a few things outside and have a neighbour dropping off another autumn juvenile hedgehog that I need to find rescue space for. I can't overwinter them myself but can keep them safe, warm and dry for now. The one this evening will bring it up to 4 that I currently have in hutches; two are going to have to share as I only have three hutches!

Have a lovely day all

Humph

The pneumonia jab the dozy doc prescribed is no longer in use - so that means another trip to the centro de saude.

And we didn't bother with my flu jab either, but we did manage to pay Joao Luis

Just waiting for the rain now :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Yawwn how soon can we go to bed :D Although I do feel better, I still have a bit to go and Mr Osc is rather miserable. However, we had a lovely time out with the children today, this is where we went http://ardgillancastle.ie about a 40 minute drive. It was a lovely late autumn day and the place has gorgeous views towards Northern Ireland, you can see the Mountains of Mourne. They have a Fairy Trail, lovely walled gardens and a terrific playground and as it is run by the council, all free unless you tour the castle or use the cafe. The children loved it, Kellie was busy knocking on fairy doors (they were all out ;) ) and Michael climbed trees. We all enjoyed our picnic, then M and K had a terrific time in the playground. Kellie slept all the way home in the car, I rather wished I could too

So we are both absolutely wrecked now, but it was worth it to have such a lovely day out with the two of them, we can recover tomorrow!
