Good Morning all,
What a night i have had!!!
As you know i had a fall last week (B Fox) and hurt my
chest and ribs. I had it checked out at the walk in clinic
and the nurse said only worry about it and get help if you
have trouble breathing or bring up blood.
After dinner last night i was bleeding from the mouth so i
went to the doctors clinic and saw the little Indian doctor who is
so thorough. She examined me and said she wanted me to have an
x-ray straight away and she phoned the ambulance.
I went home and waited and waited and waited.
I phoned them and they said i was on the list but they were very busy.
I had waited 4 hours by then.
I decided to post on FB to see if daughter or SIL might see it and get in
touch (long story they are not having anything to do with us after the row
we had about not inviting her brother and family to the weddings)
About 10.30 there was a knock at the door and a young friend had seen
it on FB and came round to take me and stay with me. (God Bless you Paula)
We got to the hospital at 11.45 and had an ECG, Bloods and X-Ray done
quickly. After that it went down hill. I finally saw a Doctor at 4am as they were
so busy in the resuss ward. He examined me and wanted a CT scan done there and
then. It was done and he promised the results asap.
Paula needed to go home as she has 3 young children to get ready for school.
The results came at 5.20 and were ok apart from a couple of blips which the nurse
said were ok.
We finally got home at 6.15am to find Don fast asleep in the chair and the doors
still open. He gets upset that because of his strokes he cannot drive anymore.
I have to see the Doc to discuss the results.

Haven't been in Iceland for a while Saundra. Whenever I go in I pick up a couple of things and then end up in a queue of people with full trollies wanting home delivery so it puts me off shopping there.

Afternoon all, having felt improved yesterday, I had a bad night's sleep and feel rotten again today  I went back to bed after breakfast but couldn't get to sleep although I stayed in bed just resting. I got up about 12.30, had my shower, then some lunch and feel fractionally better. Mind you, compared to Lissie's tale, I'm fine - it seems these days you have to tell the ambulance you have chest pain or they just keep shoving you down the waiting list  Mr Osc went to play golf so he is obviously ok ;) The rest of the day will be spent sitting comfortably in my chair.

Oh heck Osc - I feel a bit yuck today too....was meant to be having my haircut this aftie but I've rebooked.....mind, I went to town this morning and had my usual, so not all bad, just like you I had a bad night, no sleep till 4am owing to hard, strong palpitations and feeling HOT!! I even threw the duvet off for over an hour  Just got to sleep when Tom's alarm went off at 5 :(

I'm also mid-oven cleaning....bought some stuff to do it. Also bought some wool and needles to start knitting a top for Lily, so that'll keep me quiet for a bit.

Review at GPs this morning, BP seems 'fine' so I'm to continue with current meds and see the nurse again in February, unless I need come before then of course. Happy with that.

Lissie I hope you are resting now and feeling ok xx

Hugs for all and have a good day xxxxxxx
