Good Morning Thursday

Good Morning Thursday

Postby JoM » 09 Nov 2017, 06:16

Good morning all, still pitch black here.

I'll take Billy and then it looks like I could be waiting for my parcel again seeing as it's now at Stoke and has been since 1am. Funny really as I was told at 10.30 that it still had to be dispatched from overseas. It was then dispatched an hour later and was at the courier company in Stoke 90 minutes later.

Joe's in college this afternoon and I must do some food shopping tonight. I usually do a quick shop on Wednesday but was waiting in so we have two slices of bread, very little milk and Bill just has enough food for this morning.

Have a good day all xx

Morning Jo, morning all :)
Not very light, haven't seen the weather forecast.

Off early for craft and chat, no idea what I'll be doing though!
Think I need to go to a shop too Jo, the veg and salad drawers are as good as empty  Still, our efforts at no waste are going well :)

Fingers crossed for your parcel.

Hope you all have a good day

Morning everyone

A lovely sunny morning 8-) 8-)

We're heading off to Ourique to hopefully get the prescription sorted. We were going to go yesterday but Grumpy got carried away with the painting of the new workshop and it got rather later, so we didn't bother.

Back to ironing and more painting.

First stew of the winter dinner :Hi: :Hi:

Hope the parcel arrives today Jo xx

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all. Jo and Di, you are early risers! I hope the parcel shows up soon Jo. Enjoy the hairdo Saundra and I hope the ironing pile isn't too towering Jan.

Breakfast in a mo and then MrsC and I are transporting her dad to his eye appointment at the hospital.

Morning all :)

Jo I hope your parcel comes today! Two days having to hang around the house :o :cute: :x

Have a good time at craft Di 8-)

Morning Saundra, I really need a haircut at the moment, my fringe is like an Old English Sheepdog's

Crommers, I hope they don't keep you hanging about as long as Cheltenham hospital did when we took D for her eye appointment! Hope all goes well xx

Hope you get your prescription sorted Jan! xxx

Well it's Mick's birthday today, and he catches me up age wise ;) He's taken the day off, so we're out for a wander and a bit of lunch. Probably Cheltenham, although there isn't much on at his favourite art gallery at the moment, as they have two big exhibitions starting next weekend, and they are preparing for those, so we'll see. It's dry at the moment, which is a bonus ;)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Good morning all..

It's dry and bright here at the moment.
I 've been a walk for my morning paper, and done the quick crossword.
I'm now going to sort out the programme for my next Golden Oldies Music Night.

Hope you are all O.K.

Happy Birthday to Mick! :D

It was sunny here until a few minutes ago, now it's looking like it could start to rain any minute. I've put the towels out on the line again as they're still very slightly damp so I'd better keep an eye on it.

Di, we don't usually run this low on food but Joe's eaten us out of house and home this week  Last week he was saying that he wasn't fancying much to eat but his appetite came back with a vengeance this week

The Amazon tracker hadn't updated since the early hours so I took a chance and ran into town. I really had to get to the post office today too as there are two birthdays over the weekend that I needed to get parcels in the post for. Anyway, since getting back the tracker has updated to say that it's out for delivery and something I've never seen on Amazon before is an estimated delivery slot, they're predicting it'll be here between 2.30 and 4.30 this afternoon.

Saundra, it's worth phoning! I've been given a month's free Prime and they've also added £10 credit to my Amazon account.

Happy Birthday to Mick x

Well, no anti pneumonia jab for Grumpy - no idea why, the receptionist just said that it can't be done.

We'll ask the specialist in January.

Cromwell I am usually up by the time the radio alarm comes on at 7.30, but Thursdays I am now setting my phone for 7, as we're having to start craft at 9.
It's earlier than any of us would choose, but they have a lunch club so need the room cleared at 11.

Jo we don't do a regular big shop, one of us calls in wherever suits the shopping best.
Since Bb is out daily and has to come through town it's easy enough.
We used to be guilty of having too much food but no more, we check each morning what we're having for dinner, trying first to use up what's in the fridge or freezer.

Tuesday night I used all the remaining veg to make a cheesy potato topped veg pie, and adapted the leftover portion last night for a pasta sauce, using up two rashers of streaky bacon as well.
We're now out of potatoes but don't need them till at least Sunday so won't buy them till Saturday or Sunday.

Sorry meant to say, Happy birthday Mick :)
