Have a great day everyone.

Good morning Ally and all, we've had rain here overnight but it doesn't look to have been as heavy as forecast and it's quite bright now.

John's not cycling today, he saw the state of the woods here yesterday and said it'll be worse on the trails on the Chase. He and his bike were covered in mud last week so he doesn't want a second Sunday afternoon where he's cleaning the bike and scrubbing clothes. He must be growing up  He's coming out with me and Billy and then I'll make shepherds pie for lunch when we get back.

Off to meet Tom and Shannon for a quick drink in Wolverhampton tonight.

Have a good day all!

Morning :)
A beautiful sunny cold one here.

We might get to take Minnie somewhere nice but will see how she is, she was very sleepy yesterday.

Treat for dinner. We bought a small rib of beef at the farm shop, intended for Christmas.
But Bb spotted a bigger single rib reduced in W/rose and couldn't resist the bargain, plus liked the idea of cold beef sandwiches...
So we're having rib 1 tonight :D

Hope you all have a good day

Morning everyone

Gorgeous morning - we hit 40C in the sun yesterday :o :o so the painting had to be delayed

Love rib of beef Di, can I come for dinner? We have a concoction only the Portuguese can do, mince, in a roll, this one is stuffed with mushrooms. It's normally ham and cheese.

So painting, hopefully, today. I'd like to dig up the rest of the daisies, saving as many as we can and also getting rid of the mimosa tree trunk, so we can get a couple of lemon trees in that area. They'll be more sheltered from the winds we get here, in the winter - and summer ;)

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Sunshine here, hoping it stays that way! Out soon to pick up the papers and have a cuppa. This afternoon one of Mick's cousins from Essex (that's where D grew up) is visiting D and we are popping round too. Mick hasn't seen her for many years, and I have never met her, so that will be nice 8-)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Afternoon all, bright and sunny here but there is a cold east wind. I am almost afraid to say it, but my energy levels are very much improved. We've been out for a walk and I have a few things I want to do - putting away more summer/autumn clothes and taking out more winter stuff :( I want to sort through knitting wool too, I think I'll knit myself a scarf to go with a hat I knit myself last year. Otherwise, no major plan for the day.

Saundra, my great granddad who drowned in WWI used to look after Big Ben, when he was a caretaker at the Houses of Parliament! Coincidentally, I've just mentioned him on here.

Oh (((Jen))) :(

Osc I'm glad you're feeling better :) I managed to shake it off but Mick still feels a bit rough :(

Well Mick's cousin was lovely, it was nice to put a face to the name. Hopefully now we will be in touch more often 8-)
