So pleased for him as he's worked so hard at it, harder than he did when revising for his GCSEs I think.
He's in Wolverhampton and the test offices are just around the corner from Tom's flat so he's heading there now.

There’s been some wild talk lately here about retesting drivers. We renew our license every 10 years. At the moment it’s just eye test, new photo, here’s your license. But the talk is a full driving test. Yikes! It’s a good idea, as we should know how to drive and the code, but gosh, not sure I’d pass first time. The test is slot tougher now than when I did it.

Grumpy couldn't get a Portuguese driving licence, as he has a "colour deficiency" - as in he's colour blind.

He's known for years and compensated, but get to 70 and there is no way you'll get one here

As he has always said, I don't hit anything on the road and I know the difference between the lights on the traffic lights.
