I haven’t got a cordless vac when compared to that discription, mine is a small hand held job which came from my nana earlier this year. My main vac is a Dyson DC10 with an animal head. Minnie our cats fur is best described as a short haired Persian. Extremely soft and sticks to everything. We tried a few vacuums before we tried a Dyson and I filled its canister with so much hair and dust (literally 5 minutes after using another vacuum) that it was quite eye opening. Her hair is black so it’s very obvious on our cream carpet when it needs doing. I don’t find her hair gets caught, only Sasha’s long hair, but that’s not so much either now that it’s shoulder length.

Mr Osc absolutely loves our Dyson Cordless, I think it is a V6. We have wood floors except for the bedrooms (carpet) and bathrooms (tiles) and it does them all. Don't have a pet though, so can't help with that.

I think that's a given on most of them tbh ;)

I have a GTech but it doesn't have tools, so I bought a cheap, but corded, one for the edges and stairs

https://direct.asda.com/goblin-gsv301r- ... lt,pd.html

It's really good on hard floors, and edges, but carpets - not so much. It has a strip of sort of red velvet along the bottom of the flat part, rather than a brush. I'd really need a different cordless one for that I think, although both are very lightweight so dead easy to carry up and downstairs :D

I think I'm just spoiled with the GTECH being cordless, it's so handy to have around when I need those tiny pieces of cat litter picking up - like twice a day!!

thank you everyone, hugely helpful input... I've narrowed it down to two (Dyson V6 Absolute and Gtech AirRam K9) Now to figure out which one of those two
