Good morning all.

It's a lovely sunny morning here and I've really enjoyed my morning walk.
Not much planned for today, except getting ready for my Golden Oldies Music Night this evening.

Hope you are all well and enjoying life.

Yes Kaz, a cowl :)
Jo I bought some lovely chunky orange wool and am knitting a simple ribbed cowl, on my circular needles so no seams :)

Morning all :D

Was raining earlier, but it's lovely and sunny now 8-)

((((Saundra)))) xx

My throat is feeling a bit dry, feels like the start of a cold. Would normally take Beechams to ward it off, but with all the painkillers I'm taking it's not an option. Will get some lozenges from Boots, any ideas what else I could do?

Weekly shopping day, M&S and then Tesco.

Have a good day :D

Oh yes, I remember now Di!
I bought some chunky wool last week to crochet a scarf for myself - denim blue, charcoal and two shades of green. They all seem to work well together. I just need to find stripey stitch that I want to work it in now.

Greetings all

Ally, well done on the report writing - that's quite an achievement!
Jan, fingers crossed for some nice gentle, but soaking rain that lasts a good few days
((Saundra)) hope the seaside cheers you up

It was a really blustery night last night, then quite a downpour this morning and now a typical wintery dull yellow sky

Usual / usual for me so nothing exciting to report

have a lovely day all and enjoy the various bits of shopping, crafting, pootling etc... x

Cowls are great Di! Like a scarf, but no twiddly ends to mess with ;)

Well done Ally, quite a slog there!

Lemon and honey (especially manuka, as it is antibacterial) is as good as anything Jen. Hope you feel better soon xx

I hope Paul Wainwright's funeral went as well as possible. Poor Jane :(

Me too - it is so very sad poor Jane :(

Kaz wrote:Jo I hardly ever plan meals, although I often think I should :? I tend to open the fridge door, frown, look in the freezer, scratch my head, then bung something together :cute:

That sounds like me too - the most pre-planning I do is SOMEtimes I open the freezer door and pull out some frozen chicken or something to defrost so it will bung in the slow cooker next morning....but that's rare!!!

Well I have been to work this morning, Jan needed the morning off and had no holidays left so she asked if I'd swap this morning and she'd work Saturday :D I was a bit down at missing Aquafit but it doesn't hurt the once - lo and behold I got a phone call whilst at work from the leisure centre telling me that the class had been cancelled as they'd had a power cut! Fate, I tell you!!  Busy at work, but then I went at lunchtime, straight to town for a coffee and a read of the paper, followed by a look round. I'm knitting Lily a top for Christmas, and there's a neckline/collar that is knit on a circular needle, so I had a size 9mm needle to buy! I'm almost done the main body as it is thick wool but the round needle scares me a bit as I'm not sure how I'll cope - I'm a knitter who tucks the right hand needle under my arm to control it, so I won't be able to do that once I do the neckline! :?

Got home with grocery shopping done, and then proceeded to buy yet more gifts online! Aaargh!!! STILL not finished....ho hum....off somewhere else tomorrow to a Primark, likely Darlington or Hartlepool, both those towns have one.

Stripped the bed when I got home also, so I have it to remake - and we have liver and onions for tea, also to be prepped and cooked.....s'all go, innit??

Have a lovely evening all xxxx

Evening all - busy Thursday, Kellie was here from 9am and Michael finished school at 2.15. Both children had to have showers here as their boiler is not working, new one being installed at the weekend. They thought it was great fun! Miss Osc was at Michael's parent-teacher meeting today and was thrilled to be told that Michael is top of his class. Proud Mummy and Daddy (proud grandparents too).
