Good Morning Sunday

Postby JoM » 26 Nov 2017, 06:44

Good morning all, it's dry here at the moment so I'll take Billy out in a minute.

Taking Joe clothes shopping this afternoon and that's about it when it comes to plans for today.

Tom did a lot of driving yesterday, he was fine on the motorway and drove through the busy Saturday town centre traffic to get home with no problems, then drove through it again later to go to work. He picked us up after he'd finished, drove into Wolverhampton and then we brought his car back home.

Have a good day all!

Morning :)
'Tis beautiful, even colder, sunny and lovely :)

Ally I get a shock if I don't wake up till the radio alarm comes on at 7.30 :)
Jo that's really good with the driving, so important to get on those busy roads.

We have sausages out of the freezer to go in baguette for brunch, then I'll be making a beef casserole in the slow cooker for dinner.
Other than that, have cricket on at the moment, and Bb will be watching the grand prix.
I or we will also be shopping, we need new lights to go along the bay window indoors.

Hope you all enjoy the day

Lovely and bright here in Kent but very cold.
Going shopping early so we can get back for F1.
Got to go to M&S to pick up a parcel. Don bought me
a jumper online for our 61st wedding anniversary next week.
I bought a M&S meal deal for today. Turkey Roulade and it
looks very nice so looking forward to that.

Morning everyone

Misty start, now clearing and we may have a shower or two, But still warm for the time of year.

Well done to Tom, that's a lot of intensive driving. Must admit, I hate driving in the Algarve now - so used to not seeing a car at all, on the way into Ourique

I fully intend to be a domestic goddess today - we'll see how I feel after breakfast.

F1 for us too later and stew for dinner. Just what you need on a cold night :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

You must have needed the sleep Ally :D 8-)

Jo, Tom seems to be doing really well with his driving, well done him! 8-)

Di, we're having lamb shanks done in the slow cooker - definitely "stew" weather!

Your present sounds nice Lissie :)

Morning Jan : D

Well it's bright and frosty here! Perfect winter weather really! Our dance day yesterday was a real giggle, we enjoyed ourselves  Glad to have a quieter day today - out for the papers, popping up to see D later, then home to braised lamb shanks in red wine and the iPlayer! 8-) :D B is working this weekend so is out all day, then going to a baby shower this evening :)

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Back with Billy now, I've had breakfast, had a shower, hung some washing out to dry and John's gone out for a bike ride (and I'm dreading the muddy state he'll come home in!).

It really was a lovely walk this morning, there was such a beautiful sunrise and the sky was clear although it's clouded over a bit now. It's very chilly.

Di, we need new icicle lights but I might not bother, we don't have a drain pipe over the bay window so it's quite a faff to get them up and then get them down again. I might just 'borrow' a tree from on the old quarry, put it in a pot and stick some lights on that by the front door and window. There are some lovely little fir trees growing on there and every now and again workmen come along and pull them up, leaving just the silver birches, so I'll be doing them a favour.

Tom wasn't planning on going out alone for another couple of weeks seeing as he hadn't driven in the two years since passing his test but he came home Friday lunchtime (which he doesn't normally do) and said he was going to drive down to work, so he went via my parents and then took himself on a little detour and then he drove back at 11 when his shift ended.

Braised lamb shanks sound lovely Kaz!

Ally, it's not like you to lie in!

Morning Jan! Enjoy the rain if you get it!

Good morning all.

It's blue sky and sunshine here, but a bit on the cold side.
We are off to the local hospital shortly, to visit one of neighbours who is rather
poorly in hospital. We will go on the bus, but will probably walk back.

Hope you are all O.K.

Lie ins, lamb shanks and beef casserole sound fantastic, walking 32km maybe a bit less fantastic! :D

Friday night I went out with a couple of friends one of whom was the one who has had the double hip replacement. He was in major pain though. It was silly him being out but I suppose he must have been going stir crazy stuck in the house.

It's been cold here too. Yesterday morning at the top of the village a car (probably being driven too fast) skidded off the road on black ice and hit a brick wall. The driver and passenger were ok but the car looks to be a write off. The poor bloke whose wall it was now has a demolished wall and a massive hole in his garage / workshop wall which is (was!) right behind his brick wall. They had to get a fire engine out to the crash and the car was stranded in the middle of the road for ages as it's damage meant they couldn't move it.

A lovely morning here, bright and cold. Have a great day everyone.

Nice bright cold morning here too. We had a lovely meal out with friends last night, then went for a drink before getting home by about 10.15, so we were able to catch up on Strictly before going to bed. It was nice being in town with all the Christmas lights. The restaurant and the bar were noisy though, and we both feel as if we are slightly hungover this morning, in spite of no alcohol being taken!

Kellie arrives this afternoon for her sleepover so she will keep us busy until we bring her home tomorrow evening. Better go and have my shower, then do a few bits and pieces around the house.
