Good Morning Thursday

Postby JoM » 30 Nov 2017, 06:29

Good morning all, it looks like being another very cold and frosty one.

I'm taking Billy out shortly, I've had to think of a dry walk that we can do to avoid the mud. I'm not being particular, but Alabama Rot has been confirmed on the Chase and although the woods and common aren't strictly classed as being the Chase, they're not far off being joined to it.

Housework to do later and food shopping tonight.

Hope you're feeling better today Saundra xx

Continued get well wishes for Manxie!
Have a good day all!

Morning Jo, morning all :)
Very cold here too, supposed to be the coldest day of the week!

You're right to be cautious Jo, it's a very serious disease, some of the first cases were around here.

Out early today for craft, my cowl isn't growing very fast as I haven't done any in between :?: :)

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all -- bitter cold here but not so windy.
Must check on wrapping paper and cards today.
Get parcel ready to send to NZ to niece and family.
Bought jewellery as it will weigh less. It cost a fortune
last year as i stupidly bought things that weighed a lot!!
Must buy Don an anniversary pressie for tomorrow although
he says he does`nt want anything.
61 years and they said it would`nt last. :D
Enjoy your day.

Morning everyone

Cold here too  7C at the front and 5C at the back

Off to Ourique later, drop off the repeat prescription requests - hopefully, they won't make me see the doc to do that, as they sometimes do :? :?

Will no doubt light the fire a little earlier today

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all :)

Jo you're very wise to be cautious, that disease sounds awful :( xx

Di, you could do with that cowl sooner rather than later ;) Don't be like me, I once started a baby blanket for my sister's eldest, but it was still half finished when she announced her second pregnancy  :P

Hope the tablets start working soon Saundra (((x)))

Lissie, postage is a terrible price, isn't it? :?

Well it's another chilly but bright day! Up to see D later, but a quick foray into town first (again!) as I forgot to get my nephew a birthday card yesterday  It needs posting by tomorrow at the latest. Pilates tonight.

Have a good day everyone :) xx

Morning all. Freezing here too. MrsC has gone to take her dad to his rellies house and do the pension run for them.

We had a rat in our back garden yesterday. It is probably coming for the food on the bird table; in this cold weather we reckon they are coming from the field across the road, searching for food. Apparently there are loads of them around this year. I'm going to ask people at the gun club if they have an air rifle I can lend. We had cats for almost twenty years and never saw a rat; there's a lesson there.

Have a good day everyone.

Cromwell, one of my earliest memories is of sitting on the back doorstep with my Dad as he tried to shoot a rat in the garden with an air rifle.
They're horrible things. We had them in our old house, our elderly next door neighbours had gaps around the house so they got in that way and lived under the ground floor floorboards. No matter what we did to try and rid ourselves of them, they kept coming because of the gaps they could get into from next door. I'll never ever forget the day I opened the understairs cupboard to get the hoover out and found one staring back at me. To say I screamed and swore would be an understatement.

Billy had his walk, we managed to stick to dry and frozen paths. When the weather warms up a bit though they'll be back to mud :?

Just looking at the windows with the sun shining on them has reminded me that the window cleaning company I contacted last week hasn't replied, it's a waste of time them putting their glossy pamphlets through the letter box if they don't want the business

Saundra, I hope the tablets soon kick in xx

Yes Di, Kaz is right - get knitting!
I'm currently crocheting holly leaves to make some kind of decoration.
