She was also my cousin Mm, but I didn't know her at all, it was a way of describing who she was.
I know V, because she came to live in England about 10 years ago, armed with contact details of a couple of us 'English relatives'
V is not a direct cousin, but a cousin's niece via his wife...complicated! So it's easier to introduce her as a cousin.
