They are up

Postby cruiser2 » 06 Dec 2017, 15:55

Our Christmas decorations.
Lights round the windows in the hall and the bay window in the lounge. These are on timers. Lights on the small tree on the window ledge in the lounge. We have put a train with Santa on it in the window. Bought it in Vigo, Spain on our last cruise. On the other side of the tree is
a small crib which we have had for several years and two large crackers. May pull one tonight.
Putting the cards on the side of the staircase using blue tac. :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

At least 2 weeks, before I get ours out.

But I have to go to the library in Ourique, as Fatima has been decorating it and having seen the photos on fb, it looks lovely. Might get a couple of books I've not read, which would be a bonus.

Why o    h why did I get rid of all those books before we moved :o :o :o

Ours are up :D Michael and Kellie will decorate the tree tomorrow. When we were working, they didn't go up till the weekend before Christmas, but retirement and two grandchildren changed that :x :D

I normally put mine up the middle weekend in December but this year will be different as we'll be in Birmingham for the funeral and fly home Sunday 17th.

I'm at work Monday & Tuesday evening so they'll be going up on Wednesday 20th this year!

Then we're away for 3 days over Christmas. 8-)

I suggested to Don not bothering this year but was met with a 'not on your nellie' look! 8-)

Don't do mine till about 16 normally but I was fed up so tree is up only 3ft and lights are on it took me years to realise if you put the lights on first it's easier to decorate never thought of that used to put them on last
Will Finnish it tomorrow

I've been getting black looks and comments from Donna about putting ours up - I never used to put them up until the middle of December, even when Jen was little but it seems these days you have to put them up late November to satisfy some.....

I've been and got them out of the loft just now so might put them up tomorrow...
