Good morning Sunday

Postby Ally » 10 Dec 2017, 06:10

Good morning.

Lord knows why I woke up at 6am after yesterday's uber busy day! ;)

We got so much sorted yesterday. Saw Father Grady and finalised everything for Friday. Also went to Ashley Lodge...was dreading seeing Joanie's room and sorting through her things but it turned out to be not so bad and actually very comforting. Iyswim.

We had a great night with so many lovely friends. :?

This morning we're off first thing for some retail therapy then meeting Jude for a coffee.

Over to Jackie's to have a cider and lunch at her local pub. 8-)

Back to Gez and Sharon's to spend some time with them and tonight the four of us are going out for dinner.

As our flight is at 7 in the morning it won't be a late night!

Have a great day everyone.

Not sure what we'll be doing today as we're expecting some high winds and rain. not as bad as the north, they're going to be hammered, so no doubt won't be able to watch tv and the lecky will go out :o

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

Morning all!

Glad it wasn't too bad Ally ((((x))))

Morning Jan, hope you don't lose your power! :o

Morning Lissie, better to be careful and stay indoors! ;)

We woke to an eerie light coming through the curtains, and realised we have snow! It had rained last night, so although it is starting to settle I can't see it lasting :? Famous last words, probably, and it will most likely look like Switzerland out there later!  :x Out for the papers in a while, then home to make a lamb stew 8-)

Have a good day everyone, take care in this weather xxxxx

Morning :)
We have rain and gale force winds :(

Ally at the moment Birmingham airport have suspended all flights, trying to clear the runway :o

We're intending getting some jobs done today, cleaning etc in readiness for decorations, and at least getting all the stuff down from the loft.
Not going out - we knew the forecast.
Treat for dinner, w/rose had half price sirloin steak on Friday :)

Glad you got a lot sorted out Ally, it does help you feel a bit better once things fall into place xx

Take care if you're going out in the snowy weather, and have a good day

Good morning all.

I'm in a right grump this morning with the snow. There's a couple of inches here and it's still coming down thick and fast, it's very windy too. I'm worrying because I've got to get Joe to the hospital for a blood test first thing in the morning and then Tuesday is operation day. I'm hoping that there aren't a load of emergency admissions due to people falling and then there not being a bed for him.

Ally, I'm glad that yesterday wasn't so bad. It sounds like last night was exactly what you needed xx Take care getting around today. Public transport sounds a mess, even the M6 is down to one lane in places.

Have a good day all, and take care!

We walked into Erdington and now having breakfast at a Wetherspoon's.

The 11 bus is running OK and although it's about an hour by bus to Jackie's at least it will be just the one journey.

Gez has said if we get stuck over there he has access to police control vehicles and will sort us out transport. We might need it.

I'm glad yesterday was comforting for you Ally, and that last night was a good night out - have another one tonight, just dont go to bed and go straight to the airport!

Hopefully the gales will abate soon Di. Kaz, lamb stew! Just right for winter. I hope the snow clears for you soon Jo and stay safe Lissie. Fingers crossed for no power outages Jan.

We have a few teeny tiny flakes of snow coming down but overall it's a very poor show! Still cold though.

Sunday dinner and Strictly results today. We won't be venturing far I don't think.
