Saundra p, we've just had our bin emptied - they're well behind, bin day is Tuesday. I'm surprised they actually got up our close today and it always makes me worry when it's icy as our house is right on the footpath on a corner.

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here :D

Hope Joe's home this afternoon Jo xx

Joint school was interesting, must say I didn't realise how difficult recuperation can be. They're arranging various aids to be delivered, a chair to use when washing (no showers for at least two weeks) a frame for the loo and a booster for the armchair. They're also sending a technician to check the bed as that might need to be blocked up too :o

The pre op not so good, the nurse made an absolute hash of taking my BP, she had to do it 5 times  my arm is now really bruised. It's such a basic procedure, honestly I couldn't believe it. By the time she finished I was in tears it was so painful, no surprise it was sky high. Means I need to do it here at home 4 times a day until Monday, she'll ring for the results early next week. If it's still too high the op could be postponed for 6 weeks while my GP tries another medication to bring it down. I know I suffer 'white coat syndrome' so fingers crossed.

Much better when I saw Mr Syed, he's happy to go ahead, but he said the BP issue will ultimately be decided by the anaesthetist. He suggested bringing in a record of readings taken for a few days before admission. Apparently if it's high on the day they often give a mild sedation before taking it again, fingers even more tightly crossed......

We've got quite a bit to do today, need to pop into town to collect the prescriptions, go to the bank, the greengrocer and a few other things. Then we're off to M&S for lunch and more bits. We had a big food delivery Tues so hoping to avoid Tesco today.

Have a good day :)

Nothing really Jo. He's just a very enthusiastic little cockerpoo with a lovely nature who everyone likes. Be careful on the ice down there! We haven't much left atm but it is really cold out there; that damp, chilling cold that gets right into your bones.

We have brought a load of washing back from daughter's so I'll pop a wash on now. :D

Goodness me Jen, I got cross just reading that! Taking a BP is so simple, even I can do it easily with our cuff :o  I'm sure it will be ok for the op ((((((x))))))

Jen, no wonder it was high after all of that! :( What an ordeal, I can't get my head around how a nurse can't get a reading first time. I'm sure it'll be fine at home xx

Aww Crommers, he sounds lovely! John always laughs when we're out with Billy because you can always guarantee that at least one person will walk past us and say hello to him by name
