I've just called (again) to see if there are any updates. The nurse said they're waiting for a doctor to review him but have no idea when that will be as they just turn up on the ward at any time to do their rounds.

The XBox has long been abandoned He packed it away months ago!
However, he likes to pull the armchair from by the window up in front of the TV and we came home to find that Tom had put it in position ready for him before he went to work
He's laughing his compression socks off at Grand Tour at the moment....

Honestly though, Stoke hospital is a pain. It took well over an hour to get there, then there was nowhere to park - people were parking at the ends of rows where there were no bays - and we ended up just leaving the car in a staff permit parking area in the end and hoping for the best! Everything was pretty much ready for Joe to leave, his drugs were bagged up and by his bed but we had to wait for the pharmacist to do the second check, she took the bag away and came back with it an hour later.
It then took two hours in traffic to get home.
