Good morning all.

It's grey and dull here, and not very inviting, but we are going shopping in town shortly.
Not much else planned for today, but we still have a few pre-Christmas jobs to do.
Hope you all have a pleasant day.

:) :) :) :)

Morning all,

It is absolutely chucking it down here, has been since early in the morning. Lucky that I managed to get the new roof over the back deck done and tarped over the weekend.

It looks like my personal target of 2st weight loss, before we leave for Christmas, is going to be a miss. I've lost 1st5lb in 9 days but I'm not going to lose 2lb a day for the next especially since Mrs S is putting on a 7 course dinner Thursday night.

Hope everyone has a good day and doesn't do too much. It's nearly Christmas and no point in getting there knackered.

Ally, please don't apologise...he's fine, all went went and he's back to his fun self and looks the absolute picture of health which is something he hasn't done in such a long time xx

Yep Jan, we had this months ago. I took him to the GPs for bloods and they couldn't even use the forms that Stoke had provided. I then had to get a print out of the results and pass it onto the hospital myself, something I have no problem doing but it wastes time. The test needs doing next week so if it's done at the walk in clinic in Stafford then it's processed straightaway and uploaded to his records and passed onto whoever requested the test, or it'd be a matter of trying to get an appointment to see the nurse, the bloods having to be transported to Wolverhampton and then the faff of me getting the results to Stoke where they'd probably sit in someone's inbox for a time.

Morning all, it's a very pleasant morning here and the view out to see is beautiful. Been busy since we got up - SIL requested a particular Paul Hollywood book but of course I didn't get the details until the weekend  It's apparently out of print and not available in any shops I rang. However it is available online through the major bookstore here and I have ordered it but won't be here till after Christmas - coming from their English suppliers. I don't think he will mind too much.

I decided not to go to the gym at all this week, just too much going on. My brother is coming from Cork to stay the night, we will pop up to Miss Osc's so he can see the children, then back here for dinner and my sister will join us. I'm just about to change our bed, then sort out laundry, so by the time that is done, he will probably have arrived.

Morning all :)

Bright and sunny here 8-)

Good luck with the bloods Di.

Pleased Joe's doing so well Jo, hope you can get the blood test sorted without too much hassle.

Don't overdo it Jan, moving stones is quite heavy work.

A new bracelet sounds lovely Lissie.

Well done with the weight loss Suff, no point worrying too much about dieting for the next week or so.

It's been a strange weekend, we would normally have travelled to Swindon for our pre Christmas celebration with mother. Sad she's gone but also glad it's all over, she would have absolutely hated the way dementia changed her. Lots of mixed feelings..........

No plans today, all the pressie's are wrapped, just need to whip the Dyson round and that's it.

Have a good day :)
