Good morning Thursday

Postby Ally » 21 Dec 2017, 04:58

Good morning.

Forecast looks nice and we're going to wander into town lunchtime (which is around 3pm here) and have a bite to eat in the plaza whilst people watching. 8-)

A few bits to get from Mercadona and a couple of beers early doors. :) :)

We'll see what the evening brings....the Masterchef final may well be watched on catch up. ;) ;)

Have a great day everyone.

Morning all

Ally enjoy the day; perfect way to start the holidays
Kaz enjoy having Harry home and good news re D; she must be relieved. Were they able to give an explanation why it wasn't as clear as the first eye?
Jan and Di, enjoy your respective days doing the things you are.
Saundra, how lovely - enjoy the early Christmas with Scarlett x

Frank went to visit mom yesterday evening and said she was remarkably clear and sends her love to us all. The pathology results should be in on Friday which will determine whether further treatment (ie chemo) will be needed, but my cousin is quite optimistic that because everything was caught so very early and the operation was done asap that all should be fine - fingers crossed. Depending on how her night went she'll be transferred down to her room hopefully at some point today, if not tomorrow. She'll then have access to Wifi so we can chat to her via WhatsApp - got to love technology when we all live so far apart :D

Well hopefully another quiet day today and then home via Waitrose to get some cheese for the vet team. I always give them cheese and prosecco which they love as it's a change from all the chocolate and biscuits they usually get.

Have a lovely day all, vibes to those who need them xxxx

Morning all :)

Wet and miserable here again.

Have a lovely day with Scarlet Saundra.

Enjoy having Harry home Kaz, good news about D.

Glad your mum's feeling good Ria, will keep fingers tightly crossed for a good result tomorrow xx

Shopping for us, M&S and then Tesco. Planning to get everything still on the list, then intend to pull up the drawbridge and relax until after Christmas. We definitely won't starve

Have a good day :)

Good morning all, I'm just back from town with more things crossed off the Christmas food list :D I don't buy a great deal extra but we always have some nibbly party food on Christmas night and Boxing night.

Billy had his walk early while it was still dark and foggy. It's now cloudy but quite bright, and mild! I was quite warm walking back from town (it's 2 miles and mostly uphill) and was glad to get in the house, take my coat off and put the bags down, they were heavy!

I've got to pop over to the post office sometime today hopefully. I've ordered a Bluetooth speaker for Joe and it's being delivered there for me to collect. I also need to do a shopping list for food shopping tonight. Not sure what time Tom and Shannon will be back from Wales. I think she's staying tonight if they're late back.

Joe's feeling great thanks, he hasn't needed any painkillers for a few days now and today he has his last anticoagulant injection. He said he might call around to see his friend later.

Lovely to have H home, Kaz! Enjoy catching up with him today :D

Ria, great news and best wishes for the results xx

Di, enjoy craft!

Aww Saundra, you're going to have a fun day :)

Have a good day all!

Hi all,

Wishing you all a great day warm and cold. Kaz, glad you got good news, must be a relief.

The dogs have gone to the kennels today. We have a dinner party for Friends tonight then we head for Switzerland tomorrow. I've been told to tell work I'm travelling from 10am CET.

I have a lot to do. I've been told that they want to watch BBC Christmas TV, watch our catalog of movies and have both Amazon and Netflix available... All in Switzerland. Oh and I'm not to spend any time on any techie stuff.....

So I have a bag full of Swiss power cables and EU/UK adaptors, a tablet set up to bring in the UK TV and services to my Fire TV stick and I'm contemplating bringing my window mounted Satellite dish (oblong) and decoder/recorder... At the same time I'm trying to finish setting up cruise control on my car. Not sure I'm going to get there as the software setup is somewhat long and tedious so I can connect to the car and set the correct value. I've put all the bits in to make it work.

Not doing any techie stuff though. Oh no, I'm "working"....

Just got back from Sainsburys. It breaks your heart when you see all the presents you bought have been reduced
to half price. They have reduced all the Christmas lights, tree ornaments and candles etc. The tree ornaments i paid £10
for last week are now £3. Oh well. I say every year i will wait but then i think about what would happen if they had
sold out of the things i wanted.
I will go back and buy a Robin table runner for £3.
