What's your plans for Christmas....

Tomorrow Son , DIL and the two terrors are coming for Christmas dinner. Turkey Crown covered in Parma Ham with
Pigs in blankets, stuffing balls, sprouts, peas, parsnips etc. Xmas pudding or Ben and Jerrys Icecream.
After that the opening of the presents.
Saturday morning daughter and two grand daughters are calling with presents. Sausage rolls and mince pies are
ready for them.
Sunday we will probably go shopping.
Christmas day just the two of us. We have boned rib of beef with all the trimmings then after a few glasses have a sleep
for a couple of hours.
Tv in the evening with a few snacks.
Next day i will probably hunt down a few bargains as Bargain Betty can`t let the side down

A quiet one for us this year, I've planned for everything to be as easy as possible.

Friday: all the shopping's done, so it's just the house for a quick whiz round.

Saturday: apart from the washing a nice and easy day.

Sunday: I always do something nice for dinner, this year it's meatballs with pasta plus garlic bread. All washed down with a bottle of bubbly to start the celebrations off.

Christmas Day: it's just the two of us, but I don't mind. We'll have turkey and all the trimmings without having to stick to a timetable which will be nice. I'm not a big drinker, but it's the one day in the year I have more than a couple lol Looking forward to sitting in front of the box in the evening, lots of good programmes, Doctor Who, Strictly, Call the Midwife, Victoria and Mrs Brown's Boys.

Boxing Day: Z,M and the boys will be here, we'll do the pressies round the tree with them and I'll do my traditional boxing day food, cold turkey and ham, a huge bubble and squeak (a big family favourite) pigs in blankets, plus peas and a selection of pickles. Have already got the puds from M&S, the boys don't like Christmas pudding so it's trifle, very berry cheesecake, chocolate profiteroles and mince pies if they've got any room left.

We had every intention of going to the German market last weekend Jo - but we took one look at the throng of people and sidestepped up Cannon Street to the Windsor.

Really don't blame you. I'd have given it a miss but Joe wants to go. We've had to leave it until the end of the week to give Joe chance to feel stronger, it's usually pretty quiet on weeknights this close to Christmas but on a Friday night?

Wise decision. Word on the street is that it was even tackier than usual this year. Same ole, same ole ...... One of its problems is, it's been going for so many years, it no longer has any novelty value.

Saying that though, the big Stollens are usually reduced to £1 on the market this close to Christmas.

Been living in the sun too long so don't get the sitting outside in the freezing cold with an even colder beer.

Novelty value I don't have a problem with Ossie...it's just the crazy business and being squashed like a sardine in what should/could be a nice time.
