Mick always sounds like a nice man Kaz.Some foul weather out there but we're OK so far.

Slow cooked beef does sound just right, I have to say. We're going to Selby today to my brothers for lunch, it will be nice to catch up.

Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon all, it is lovely and sunny here but I suspect it is very cold judging by the way people are muffled up walking along outside. We had thought we might go into town and have a mooch around the sales but didn't get up in time, so we will make it a plan for tomorrow. Nothing planned for the day, himself is watching a ManU match he recorded last night and I have given the kitchen a good cleaning. We'll probably have a walk around the block later. My brother gave us a book about musicals, maybe I will dip into that. My nephew and his partner gave us a lovely calendar, pictures by the artist Eric Ravilious, I had never heard of him so looked him up, and we've hung the calendar in the kitchen.

Kaz, John and Joe are heading that way tomorrow!

Saundra, soup is what I'm making for dinner today, with some lovely fresh crusty bread.

John came to town with me, along with our little four-legged friend who found it all very exciting!

Afternoon all :)

Very wet and cold here, well that's what E says anyway, I'm quite happy to look through the window

We got up even later than usual, have only just finished brekkie/lunch

We had a lovely day yesterday with Z,M and the boys. It was really our main Christmas Day, pressies round the tree, the lot. Great fun :D Today they're off on a train to Edinburgh, expect they'll be cream crackered by the time they get back home on Saturday.

Absolutely no plans for today, intending to be extremely lazy, being retired certainly has it's benefits 8-)

Have a good day :)
