Good morning Ally and all!

We've had a covering of snow overnight :( Off to the hospital in a minute to get a blood test for Joe, ready for an appointment in January. He and John are off to Wales for a couple of days when we get back. Tom's back from Shannon's tonight and I'll take advantage of an empty house and get some housework done.

Thinking of Frank xx

Have a good day all!

Morning :)
It's a lovely morning, bright and cold and frosty :)

We shall be going into the outside world today, at least a stomp up and down the high street, plus maybe walk Minnie down the lane to collect my drugs.
Carroty soup for us tonight too :)

Have a good day all

Morning everyone

Damp and not pleasant again this morning, but the wind has dropped.

Good luck today WM xx and also to Joe x

The gravel arrived quite late last night - when it was dark, in fact   and the driver was new, so we now have some lovely deep ruts in the hill

I'm off to Ourique later, to get some bits and bobs and Grumpy will be gravelling the paths. I've got to try and stop him from doing it all - so when I come back will take over the shovelling.

We have turkey again tonight    Molly is enjoying a daily treat of the dark meat  :D :D

Have a good day everyone, whatever you're doing xx

I'm back from dragging my carcass up and down hills for 7kms! It was tough!!

Washing dried that I pegged out last night and the carrot soup is simmering nicely.

Lazy day now for me.....I have books that Santa brought me. 8-)

Morning all :)

That soup sounds good Ally 8-) I think getting back to my exercise will be tough too

Hope Joe and John have a good trip Jo, and good luck to Joe with the blood test xxx

Don't overdo the shovelling Jan!

Enjoy your walk Di :)

Good luck Frank! xxx

Believe it or not, we need a food shop  Only a few fresh bits, bread, milk, fruit, as sister and her lot are coming tomorrow :) I also need to do a bit of cleaning  The snow is still hanging about, but no new stuff thankfully!

Have a good day everyone:) xxx

We're back, there wasn't anybody else waiting for bloods when we got there so it was very quick and easy. £1.80 for 15 minutes parking though :( I heard something on the radio news earlier about hospitals raking it in with parking charges, they've certainly had a fair bit off us these last few months!

Kaz, I picked up some fruit and veg yesterday and I've just popped into the Co Op for some milk on the way home, but that was mainly to get some change as I had a text from my Avon lady to say that my order is ready to be delivered today if that suits me. I'll do the main food shop on Saturday when John's back, there's only really me around over the next few days as Tom won't be back until tonight and then he's working tomorrow. I've got plenty of what I need for chicken and veg soup so I'm happy

Di, enjoy the walk! We've managed to walk just over 5 miles each day, including Christmas Day, so we've not done too bad.

Jan, I hope that you and Grumpy take plenty of rests while you're doing this! :o

Ally, what books did you get?

Sunny and cold here. We need a few bits as well Kaz. Don't over do it Jan and good luck to Joe and WM today.

Jo, hospital car parking fees irk me as well.

Crommers, when Joe was discharged from Stoke the other week we couldn't even find a parking spot despite trying four of their visitor/patient car parks. We eventually saw someone pulling out of a spot on a staff permit holders car park and thought sod it. We were ready to tell them where to stick it if we came back to a ticket.
