Posting now as things look manically busy for tomorrow!

Conor's staying over tonight to spend tomorrow morning and the afternoon with Don, Jacob & myself. We've had the added bonus of the boys joining us with our friends tonight.

We'll be going out for lunch and having a few beers. Tea time Conor's going back to his place to spend NYE with Lucia and her family.

Jacob's got a house party to go to.

Don and I are going to the Ayuntamiento (town hall) just before midnight to eat the grapes and drink the cava then moving on to Jose's to party.

New Year morning will be spent doing a coastal walk to clear the head.

Wishing all my lovely VV chums a very, very happy new year and a wonderful 2018.

My friend G is also a widow, and had spent Christmas happily with her family, but they are not close by so I wondered what she was doing tonight.
Nothing, it turned out - so now she is coming here

We have promised B we will have her round in the next couple of weeks.

We have Mitch coming round this afternoon, for lamb cutlets on the bbq, with boul something potatoes and the black bean hot salad.

Will be doing some weeding in the veggie garden first.

Have been for the paper and washed the car. A bird had left its mark on the roof and the windows were dirty.
Going dancing tonight. Lots of funny dances. spot prizes ans a raffle. So it will be a late night.

Good morning all, and happy last day of 2017 to all on VV, and our loved ones

We aren't going out tonight, we'll be spending a quiet evening here, keeping the dogs calm from the inevitable fireworks. B is working today, but then is off for a week as she's going on Tuesday to spend a few days with her dad. We've had a lovely Christmas, but it's been busy and involved a lot of cooking on my part, so a quiet NYE suits me just fine

Out for the papers and milk shortly, then rou nd to spend some time with D I'm taking down the decorations later, and having a good clean round, so that New Year's Day will be a fresh start I'll be putting the Christmas VV smileys away in the morning

It's sunny, breezy and quite mild here after yet another very wet night. John's out on his bike and Tom's off to work in a few minutes. Joe's going to his friend's house later this afternoon and is staying overnight so it'll be just the three of us for a Chinese takeaway tonight once Tom gets home from work.

There's a couple of loads of washing out on the line so hopefully it'll dry so that it can be put away later, and I'm making a custard cream cheesecake at the moment.
