We were up until after 2am, hence the very long lie in  Feeling a tad delicate after all the bubbly, definitely staying in today, plan to be extremely lazy.

Wishing you all a healthy and happy 2018

Had a bit of a nightmare with the bloods so all other plans scuppered :?
Girl arrived about 11, so hadn't been able to have a shower. Four goes later and she couldn't get any - I think she just wasn't very good as that arm is usually fine.
She phoned someone else, who wasn't going to be able to get here much before one.
At one decided I may as well do my lunch, and had time to eat it.
Anyway, the lovely Julia is an IV nurse and got it :)

Afternoon all and Happy New Year.

We were up till 3am French time as we went to a do at the Salle de Fete and then watched the fireworks on replay plus talked for a while.

I'm boarding up the windows in the Workshop as I haven't had time to fit them with shutters and we'll be away from home for 3 months this year. Then I'm going hunting for all the stuff I normally take to work as I'll be heading back to work (somewhere), this month and don't want to have to trek all the way back here to get stuff.

Other than that? Back to the diet. I put on 2.5kg over Christmas and I want to take that off and start on the monumental task of getting my weight under control.

Di, that sounds like a real nightmare. I dislike needles, not scared of them just dislike them intensely, so I feel for you a LOT.

Well, I've nearly finished my coffee, so back to the grindstone. Have a great afternoon and evening all.

Good morning all. A happy new year to you all.

I see some of you are taking down your Christmas decorations now. Ours will remain up until the proper time,
which is the 12th day of Christmas, January 6th. But I guess I am old-fashioned.

I intended leaving mine up till my next day off (Thursday) but Charlie is showing a bit too much interest in the tree so we've taken them down this afternoon and put them all away.

Back to work tomorrow so I'm quite glad that's a job done.

Di I always have trouble with blood tests, sorry you've had a nightmare today :(

Happy New Year everyone xxx

Evening all, I'm a bit late on parade. We had Michael and Kellie for a few hours as Miss Osc and SIL went to the sales, so they helped us take down the tree and decorations. We used to always leave them up until after 12th night, but they have been up since the first week of December, we are out for the night on Saturday and won't feel like doing it on Sunday. All packed away in the attic now and it kept M and K occupied for a while.

We were in bed just before midnight last night but were awake to wish each other Happy New Year. We gave up on the tv at 11.30 and ended up jiving around to great music on the main Irish radio station. I won't be around till later tomorrow either, we are going to a funeral in the morning then heading off to a big southside shopping centre for a potter around and lunch out.
