Morning all

Happy three Kings Ally, enjoy your quiet day at home. We had rain overnight but woke to blue skies that by now have disappeared again; so same as yesterday really

about to head off to have my nails done and then not sure about the rest of the day. Need to get the Christmas stuff taken down and packed away - which in turn will mean cleaning :D also have cheese in the fridge that needs to be used up so I'm going to make a big batch of cheese sauce and freeze it in portions to be used as and when

Jan, I must have missed it, so apologies, but why do you have to empty the pool?

Have a lovely day all enjoy whatever it is you are up to xxx

Morning all, there is a stiff north-easterly blowing here and the sea is very rough, so I am sure it is very cold. We will be going shortly after 1pm to the hotel where we are staying the night, we'll have lunch and relax before getting ready for the ball. My sinus dose has not got any worse, Mr Osc has a cold but is ok, so hopefully we will have a fun night with good friends. I need to go and have my shower shortly and leave the house tidy before we go.

Back from getting my hair cut, typically I left the hairdressers in heavy rain. The sun's shining now that I'm home!

I went to the wool shop too and bought some yarn to make a temperature blanket, it's a multicoloured stripey blanket where each colour represents the temperature for that day (you do a row each day).

Not emptying as such Ria, but after all the rain, it's almost at the top, so need to get rid of some, otherwise we'll have salt water all over the plants.

It runs out into the field.

Morning all :D

Feeling even more fed up this morning. Had another call from the wait list peeps earlier, not my usual chap. She was ringing to say I could be put on the list for March (no firm date) if I was happy to change wards and consultant!!! I was completely confused and explained that my op had been due to go ahead this coming week and I'd already had my pre op and the house was all prepared. I also said that Matthew the chap who arranged my date had indicated if my op was cancelled it shouldn't be pushed back more than 2/3 weeks. She hadn't realised how close my op was and then checked Mr Syed's list and I'm 4th in line for inpatient full replacement. She's advised me to speak to Matthew first thing Monday morning, but said the offer of moving is still open if he's unable to confirm an earlier date....even if he does it could still be cancelled!! They have no idea when they will be able to restart operations, she said this situation is the worst it's ever been and the government stepping in hasn't helped at all. I'm not sure what the best course of action is tbh, I'd prefer to stay with Mr Sayed and as I'm now up in 4th position it seems silly to lose my place and jump ship. March sounds such a long way off and she wasn't actually offering me a date, I just don't know what to do, will have to wait until Monday and hope Matthew can give me more information so I can make a decision :?

No plans for today, washing's on the go and that's about it.

Have a good day :D

Gosh Jen...what a state of affairs the NHS is in! :? :o

Jo - it was Skegness Butlins that I met Jackie.

We'd (mum, dad, sis and I) been to a couple of other Butlins camps in previous years and always had the most wonderful holidays....looking back it must have been such a welcome two week break for them.

They both worked hard and those two weeks was their summer holiday (Glasgow Fair Weeks it was/is called) and of course, Michele and I were so busy doing all the activities Butlins had to offer that we only saw my folks at meal times!

Such happy memories.... :D :D
