Dramarama on the haircut front!!!

Postby Ally » 17 Jan 2018, 12:25

My wonderful hairdresser Eduardo is leaving!! :o  :?

His mum recently passed away (she was 89) and has left Edu the family home in Alameda which is still in Malaga provence but 85kms away!

Now comes the task of finding a new hairdresser.

Edu was worth his weight in gold, he really was.

Oh no!! :o

My hairdresser, Jade, went on maternity leave a couple of years and I was booked in with mardy Mark who never spoke (that was actually when I decided to grow my hair  ) so booked one appointment with him, just to give him a chance, and when I got there he'd left! His replacement was Kim who is okay but not as warm as Jade (whose baby is now a toddler but she's concentrating now on the beauty side of the business so doesn't do hair). I'd known Jade and her family for years too as Joe is good friends with her brother and went all through school with him and I used to like going and having a catch up and a laugh with her.
At least now I only need to go every 3 or 4 months rather than every 3 weeks or so when it was short!

I think I'll be growing my hair now Jo!

Edu was just fab..came to my house, charged 12 euro for a cut, always did exactly what I asked and was just a great guy.

I'm actually sitting here thinking how much I'll miss HIM and not just the fact he was great.

Hairdressers and dentists are the two people I hate "replacing"

Sorry for Eduardo's loss :(

I agree Ria.

I had a lovely lady dentist who was so gentle and I actually didn't mind going but when I went last time she'd left and I had to see a new one, a man, and I really didn't like him. Got an appointment with him on Monday and I'm dreading it :(

Oh that is a disaster Ally!

My lovely Tina gave up her salon just up the road, over a year ago but thankfully still works from home so I drive to her. It's about five miles so not too bad.
Do hope you find someone else, I'd hate to have to do that...actually, I must give her a ring :)

I've been going to the same hairdresser since he and wife set up in business locally....about 37 years ago :o I would be devastated if they retired :( although they are a few years younger than we are. He has seen me through many many different styles!

If Shireen left Supercuts I'd be following her! :? My hair, although fairly plentiful, is very fine and she knows how to deal with it 8-)

Hope you find a replacement Ally, maybe ask your local friends if they have any recommendations 8-) xx
