Didn't go to that many concerts in my yoof, TBH, but did see Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel at the Crystal Palace outdoor arena (they were awful) and a Jethro Tull gig in Birmingham with The Sensational Alex Harvey Band as support (excellent!).

No problem getting tickets at face value; just visit the booking office.

One other memorable performance we saw in Birmingham was that brilliant comic pianist Victor Borge.

£135, Saundra? I grumble if I have to pay over £10 at a footie match these days ....

Ally, it was Wembley Stadium where we saw Madonna in 1990, it was one of those packages where you went on a coach. I remember it taking hours to get off Wembley car park, then it had to drop off all around the Midlands and I got home just in time to get ready for work

Blimey Jo you've reminded me about Wembley car park!
Three of us went to an all day concert, it was the Beach boys, Joe Walsh and the average white band, Elton John...can't remember who else.
As you say, hours to get out of the car park.
But, two cars behind us were Slade, who had been to watch.

People were tooting car horns, so first Noddy Holder started conducting them :)
Then they opened all their car windows and the sun roof and started singing :D
I don't remember them doing many Slade songs, it was all sorts, with everyone around joining in :D
