Big decision time

Postby JanB » 12 Feb 2018, 18:03

We've waited over a year for a price and start date from Heldar, for the new bedroom.

We've waited 3 months for a price and start date from Mario.

:cute: :cute: :cute: :cute:

Had a chat with Steve earlier - he's an electrician and can also do plumbing.

The up-shot is that they'll do our en-suite between them :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi: We'll need some-one to do the rendering, but they can build the walls themselves.

He knows where we can get cheaper and just as good stuff. Nelson, whom we saw earlier does the sanitary ware and also tiles. We can get most of the building stuff from him, free delivery.

Big planning meeting on Sunday, using Steve's software and know-how :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Steve came up this afternoon, just to have a proper look-see.

he's got a thingy on his computer where we can plan things out - Grumpy still wants to chalk the floor

I'd like 2 windows, one to the front, one smaller to the side. And also we'll be having one in the en-suite.

We'll be going to Steve's on Sunday and start pricing things up.

:Hi: :Hi: :Hi: :Hi:

Glad you're getting it underway!

As you're "building walls", do you have to get planning permission or similar in Portugal?

It's the car port Ossie. Already has two and a bit walls, just need to insulate the one and other bit walls.

The car port was made ready for another bedroom, when it was built.

Normally, yes we'd need planning, but as it's part of the building (habitation), we don't need planning.

or is we do, then it's an engineer, architect and about 2,000€ So we go ahead and if we get our wrists slapped, it will be a 50€ fine.
