I'm glad Mr Osc is feeling better Osc and good luck today Di. A free cruise! I could do with one of those.
Well. It's been a bit different this morning. I've been up to let the dog out for our daughter, but before that our neighbour K had come round. Her husband, G, had fallen in the bedroom and couldn't get up; she couldn't pick him up either unsurprisingly.
The background is that G was a hard working man all his life and retired at 65. Just before he finished he started getting funny sensations in his legs and weakness. After seven years during which time this got worse, he was eventually diagnosed with some type of multiple sclerosis (they think). Nowadays he can't walk anywhere, can't go outside and has to have a stair lift.
So anyway I went round and G had collapsed in the bedroom. He had hit the bedroom radiator as he went down and was very shaken. Eventually I got behind him and lifted him up onto the bed. Long story short, we eventually got him to the stair lift and downstairs to his chair. He is very weak though. The effort of just getting his hands onto his walking frame and getting to the stair lift made his arms shake and tremble. Poor bloke.
Hopefully that's the excitement done for today.
On a different subject the local sparrowhawk is back. K told me that it had attacked and killed a magpie in their back garden a couple of days since. I wondered what all the feathers were!
